I went to a picnic today and the hostess said to me, "I just want you to know that you can totally tell that you watch that show What Not to Wear. You are so put together--I just want you to know that!" I was so flattered and it really helped me to be motivated. Need all the motivation I can get!!!!

I can't afford to move :(

Thursday, June 11, 2009

So this really great apartment came up available in East Hampton (my old town) and I put a note into the landlords saying that I was interested. All night I wrestled with it and I am saying out loud that I can't afford to move! I need to make the best of the situation I am in and truth be told I am not working very hard at getting out of here. I guess losing weight is like that--you have to give it 100% all the time or you will find yourself on a loop of failures and small victories that never amount to anything. Time to live that "spartan lifestyle" that I keep talking about instead of just talking about it!

Egg muffin for breakfast and feeling good! Oh, and Al said my stomach looks smaller emoticon

another lunch time log for me...

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

I have missed logging in on my lunch! I usually walk Cooper the black lab at lunch but thankfully I am off today. (It's raining!!) So, I went home and made a huge salad with chicken breast pieces and a cup of white rice (I know, but I was out of brown!!!) and I am blogging until it's time to go back to the! Actually, it has been an awesome day at Toddler Land so no complaints. I even got to do some crunches and leg lifts--the boys thought I was playing and one sat on my stomach while the other one put his hand up for me to tap when I lifted my leg. I think I should get double points since that was harder!

The diet is going well so far. I am still in the 7 day cleanse and I don't feel any different. I guess that is good, right?! Tonight I am supposed to go out to Chili's with my girl friend Ana and I went on last night to pick something off the menu. I am either going to have the salad bar or the tilapia. She wants to get Margaritas but thankfully I don't drink so I can save my calories!!!!

Other than that all is well!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace out to my diet family!

Oprah's Diet

Sunday, June 07, 2009

I went to GNC and got "Oprah's diet" cleansing and acia berry supplements. I have heard that they will increase energy so I was curious. I will let you know if it works--today I can say that on my first day I am VERY tired (I have acual pain before my eyes like you do when you don't get enough sleep) but I didn't FEEL tired. It could be all in my head--we will see. Other than that, really fantastic weekend!!!!

What a long day!!!

Wednesday, June 03, 2009

Today was just a crazy day. We are doing something at work called "Achievement Night" and for the last three weeks everyone has been preparing. It is basically to celebrate when the kids move into new classes and for the 5 year olds (and some 6 year olds...) who are going to kindergarden in September. We pick a theme and the kids learn songs and make crafts that relate to that theme (this year it's Camping) Anyway, this is my first Achievement Night and I have not really been stressing out about it but today it was like a zoo in the daycare. Achievement Night is tomorrow so now everyone is freaking out that we won't have enough stuff or it won't go as planned. Add to that the fact that tonight was my son's chorus concert and that I had 4 pet sitting jobs on top of working 9 to 6 and it has been a long day for me. For the last two days I have used that as an excuse to eat McDonalds for lunch and so I am done with that, too!

I made my lunch and breakfast for tomorrow when I got home (the portobella mushroom burgers recipe from Sparkpeople) and did a load of laundry and I am going to bed. Tomorrow is another day!

This is a CRAZY time of year for educators. We had something called "Enrichment Day" yesterday in my building. Every class Kdg. - Grade 5 showcased something they enjoyed learning this year for the rest of the building. Classes visted eachother and the students got to perform. There was such a variety of exhibits. Younger students did Reader's Theater, older students acted out the Boston Tea Party, there were science projects, and projects centered around the states. Everyone worked long and hard but the day was very successful. The kids always love this and will probably remember what they've learned for a very long time.
Have a great "Achievement Day!"
