I bought a nutri bullet last week and i love love love it!
On Sundays when I am prepping all my food for the week I just chop up more fruits and veggies so I can add them to the nutribullet and go. In the nutribullet it suggests to substitute 1 drink for breakfast, but if I do that then I will binge, so I pare it with an egg, or oatmeal or toast.
So far I have been able to get 2 cups of extra spinach n me every day with the nutribullet, not to mention the nutrients for the other fruits or veggies I put in. Plus the nutribullet has multiple different delicious tasting recipes to try. You can also add what they call boosts (flas seeds, hemp seeds etc.) because the nutribullet extracts the nutrients from the seeds. Did I mention that it grinds up the skin and seeds of fruit too without ANY chunks!
Ok enough going crazy about this nutribullet. I just love that I can take it to work if I don't finish it at home and know I'm getting a real smoothie instead of going to Tim hortons or using a blender which leaves chunks in it.
Does anyone else have the nutribullet or any good smoothie recipes?
Oh I also participated in a zumbathon last weekend. It was the grand opening of the new Zumba studio and it was a blast! I have to admit though 2 full hours of high intensity Zumba is really friggen tiring. There was 10 different instructors each teaching 2-3 songs. I was in my glory!
Hope all is well with everyone. I've been a bit MIA on here the last couple weeks......spring break started last week and my boss is away which means crazy stress, long days at work and well more children. By the time I get home I just want to sleep. Last week I didn't even making option to a Zumba class after work. Today will be different, even with crazy spring break time I am going tonight lol.

So last time I was blogging to you all I said I was going to sit down and write my long term goals.....Fail.
I definitely did not make it a priority.
The last 2 weeks I've seen my motivation, drive and focus slip in every area of healthy choices. I let my willpower of everything else take over and let the excuses back into the picture. However, even though I have slipped I did not fall back to where I used to be when I started this journey. Even though I'm not eating every meal clean like I was 3 weeks so, I am still eating veggies, fruits, proper protein etc. more then i did when I began this journey which is definitely a success.
The same goes for exercise. Although I've slipped in what I am doing and how often I do it, I am still doing more then before.
So I guess all of this is to remind myself that even though I'm slacking compared to the driven crazily motivated me from 3 weeks ago, I'm still the making progress and lifestyle changes.
And that is enough to keep me on the right track.
The plan for tomorrow......eat delicious veggies, drink hydrating water, fill up on protein, and do at least 1 round of a body rock exercise before work.

Day 4 of healthy eating complete.
Veggies, eggs, peanut butter mini square rice cakes, avocado and more veggies. Just missing a bit more protein and Ide be set!
You have no idea how tempted I was to go into our treat bin and eat the kit Kay sitting there with my invisible name on it. This seems to happen when I'm going to pick kids up from school. I don't know why but it happens every day at that time. My stomach is usually full from lunch still but obviously not satisfied enough. Maybe this was just the habit I had before.
Well my new habit, drink a water instead. Everything I "crave" chocolate I will get water. This worked today when I wanted that chocolate. I did not have it, but man I wanted to. I grabbed a bottle of water, took it to the car and drank it. As soon as I'm out of the office and in my car I'm ok.
So there it is. I did not cave at work. When I got home, I began making dinner. I did have 1 mini egg. ONE PEOPLE ONLY ONE. that right there is a victory!

I have been on a bit of a hiadus this past week for blogging.
I thought blogging would help me be accountable with all that over consumption of chocolate. Turns out it didn't work. I hate coming on here and admitting that I messed up but hey, I'm human right.
The day after my kick butt workout was Valentines day. The dreaded chocolate and treat day. Let me tell you my will power lasted about 5 minutes that morning. I woke up and found Bryan's mom made homemade cupcakes as our gift. Of course I ate one, it was mini but I still ate it. What a way to start my "healthy" day. Then at work we were having a party......that lasted ALL day. Snack was fruit and cupcakes. Lunch was homemade sandwiches, pizza and chocolate. Snack was chips, cupcakes and veggies. Dinner was heart shaped pizza with Bryan.
I have to admit the valentines part of my day was great. Bryan and I made dinner together and watched a movie. Perfect for us!
I woke up Friday morning feeling horrible. Headache, tired, just plain horrible. I wanted to call in sick I felt so ill, but I knew it was from that stupid sugar. Turns out every staff member felt the same. We have all been doing so great with no sugar that all of us felt that crash.
I made it a goal to eat what I brought and if I did slip then ONLY once. I did not slip at work! I ate delicious healthy food. When I got home after I ate dinner I allowed myself a few mini chocolates.
Saturday I did pretty good again. Healthy foods mostly. I did splurge on a homemade pizza sub and 2 mini eggs, but again I am working my way down to eating less chocolate. The best part I woke up feeling almost 100%.
Sunday. Another great day. I prepped my food for the week and only ate 3 mini eggs. I did have a digestive cookie, but that I will keep having every weekend. I woke up feeling great. No headache, lots of energy!
Now it is Monday. I have 3 days under my belt for delicious foods and limiting sugar. I can do it again. I woke up a bit tired today but that it probably because I went to sleep late and woke up early.
Sometimes it is hard to come here and admit my mistakes, but I know I won't get judged. I know I'll be supported. So there you have it folks. My week in a nutshell.
Also I've focused so much on nutrition I kind of left exercise In the dust. That will change tonight. Zumba! Woop.
