I have been with Spark for two months. I lost five pounds rapidly, then ten, then gained some back. I am happy with my progress. This is why:
I now workout 4-5 times a week at my local Y. I was a stranger to the place before SP and find I enjoy it. Over the holidays, each of my four kids and DH joined my exercise at on time or another. DH has also started walking a three mile route on his own.
I track everything—the good, the bad and the ugly. I see my “uglies” clearly and have learned from them. I have a nutritious foundation and, lucky me, love healthy foods. I sabotage myself, though, with mindless eating that I do not enjoy. Occasionally, I binge—which I do enjoy. I am learning to curtail this monster with portion control. My goal is to allow a once or twice a week indulgence (ice cream) within my daily calorie range. I know that if I plan calories for ice cream, it makes mindless eating totally not worth it—I would much rather have my controlled portion of Breyers light mint chocolate chip ice cream!
I got my Spark book and am halfway through it already!
