Meggie has organized a fitness challange for about 10 of us. $20 a piece for, what I consider to be, a group effort, a support system. I am really happy to have this new challange because I am going to teach myself to pay better attention to my fat intake. I created a tracker that, weekly, will track my intake of all nutrients and meaure my progress.

Today I'm going to go on a very long hike, maybe 3 hours, on a flat trail. I'm going to work on my leg exercises. And I'm going to go food shopping and begin cooking for next week, to ensure that my fat intake stays around 30 grams per day.

From now on, I will also focus on underestimating exercise and overestimating food intake.

I know when I'm really hungry and when I'm just craving food.

I'm excited! emoticon

  It's already day 4 and we are kicking butt. It's not been that hard so far. Keep it up, we are well on our way.

I have been celebrating my upcoming marriage more than I should! No more careless sipping of white wine or champagne. No more snacking on jelly beans or starburst. No more potato chips or goldfish crackers. No more skipping workouts. My body and mind deserve better than this.

So! At least for this week, my last week before mom shows up, I am going to keep my spirit in tip-top shape by eating all my veggies and snacking on fruit instead of processed sugary delicious jelly beans that send me crashing into a downward spiral of laziness and depression.

I am marrying the most loving, attentive man on the planet in less than 4 weeks. I feel strong and healthy since restarting my fitness program. I have incredible friends and family members who are supportive and caring. My puppy is a good boy. My cat makes me a little nuts, but she's cute and fluffy.

What's not lucky about that?

I am back on track. One day down so far. Little choices make big life changes. I have 30 pounds I want to lose now. I've come a long way but now that we've decided on a wedding in June, I have 5 short months to lose the weight. It's do or die for picture time!

PS: Do I look like I'm in the mood to have patients preaching to me about the children I haven't even decided I'm going to have?!, I don't. And trust me, I'm not. I'm grumpy because I'm detoxing from sugar.

Leave me alone.
