30 day shred instead of just watching tv!! I'm so proud of ME!!

So I missed zumba tonight because I had family over for dinner.I stayed within my calorie range I was on the high end but did not go over to my surprise! Well when everyone left I cleaned up and sat on the couch to watch tv, well I guess my body was wanting a workout or something!! I grabbed the 30 day shred dvd and played it on my laptop so I could keep the tv on (talk about multitasking LOL) So I did it and watched tv at the same time, I do have to admit I did not push myself as hard as I could have but I still did the video instead of just vegging out on the couch! I have been tracking everything for 5 days now and I have to say it is becoming a habit. I'm bummed to have missed zumba but had a good time and I will go to zumba tommorow RAIN or SHINE! emoticon

Tracked EVERYTHING yesterday yes even my glass of moscato! and still managed to stay on the lower end of my recommended calorie intake! emoticon
At first I thought the tracking was a little time consuming but after a little while it became easier. I plan to track everyday this week and see how it goes. I'm feeling a little sore today but not too bad. I went to zumba yesterday and it was great as usual...zumba again tonight. I also did a ab dvd which I blame for my soreness this am and did the recumberent bike at the gym for 15 min while I waited for the zumba class to begin, while reading the hunger games!! My endurance has improved so much I can hardly believe it! emoticon
Do you ever feel like your body is craving a workout?? Well that's how I felt yesterday. I can't believe those words just came out of MY mouth but it's so true hopefully I can keep the momentum going LOL. emoticon It must be the weather I emoticon spring!

    emoticon Sounds like you had an awesome Monday!!! I agree that sometimes tracking is a pain, but you can't argue with the numbers when they're right in front of you - lol!! I wish I could say my body craved a workout . . . . but alas, not so much!! You're a great motivation -- keep at it.

    Yay! I'm so happy and excited for you! Tracking REALLY helps me a LOT. And pretty quickly I just got into a habit and now I track throughout the day without even thinking about it.

And yes, I totally crave workouts too sometimes - especially if I'm anxious or stressed or frustrated. But sometimes I just feel like doing something active! It's a pretty cool (though a bit shocking for me) feeling!!!

As you may or may not know I have been really really really wanting to get out of the 140's for quite a while now...I has got to happen this week because I'm starting to feel frustrated. The day I gave birth to my son I weighed 140 lbs that was 6 yrs ago and have been packing on the lbs ever since so thats why this little milestone is huge for me....Next week my son will be on spring break so I know I will not have as much time at the gym. So this week I will give it 110% and hopefully it will happen!!

You have to see it in perspective too, the scale it's not as important as how you feel, and how you look, if you do it great, but if for some reason you don't do it this week, you'll do it "other" day.

"Try" that's the key work, try hard, but God will always have the last word.

I hope you get it done.

    My gym bag has sneakers, gym clothes, hair bands, iPod w/ earbuds and armband, sometimes my Kindle if I plan on getting on the elliptical, a fresh towel from home (don't like the gyms tiny ones), and toiletry items because I go on my lunch break and HAVE to shower and freshen up before coming back to work.
I am waiting to hit my next goal so that I can get a new gym bag because mine now is just an old backpack that I literally STUFF everything in....

    Hmm, when I used to go I'd always have socks (in case I was wearing sandals to work), shoes, deoderant, ponytail holders, lock (for locker), ipod, small towel, sports bra, t-shirt and workout pants, bottle of water or powerade zero or something I can't remember what it was called(room temperature is better than nothing - I ALWAYS had one in there), some sort of "bar" to eat on the drive home (it was a 35 minute drive and I was working out after work. I was hungry and ready for dinner so I needed some sort of backup!) I had a big gym bag and it wasn't even full LOL

  MP3 player - cute but comfy clothes - extra socks - shampoo/conditioner - body wash - big comb - extra hair bands - bandaids - lotion and sneakers! I try to keep it small.
