Week Recap 130's so close I can hardly wait!!

Saturday, February 11, 2012

Well I had a great week! Although I missed 2 zumba classes this week for reasons out of my control by the way. I worked out at home and made it to zumba this morning. Drank tons of water this week, and did so so on my eating I have been tracking my food and only went over my calories 1 day, and drinks last Saturday...also I added weights to my gym time and eventhough Im sooore I feel great. I got the zumba kinect game I think its great its about as intense as the class itself! So hopefully soon I will be out of the 140's finally. I'm hoping for better weather next week, the better the weather is the more I tend to go to the gym. Must. Keep. Trying.
Oh another thing my once "goal" jeans are now loose!!!! So even if the scale is not moving as quick as I would like at least my clothes are fitting better right?
Cheer me on Sparkies!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

You weigh about what I do, so we can motivate each other. I just want to go down to 140 and I would be happy. I have done zumba 2x this week and gladiator training, tomorrow is another zumba class. We are going to look into something for our XBox so we can do the dance thing. You are doing really well on your calories and working out.

Finally Smaller Pants while Shopping!!!! Hip Hip Hooray!

Thursday, February 02, 2012

So Im super excited to be out of the double digit pants size!! I went shopping today for an outfit and I couldn't believe it when I tried on a skirt and pants in a size 10 they were too big! So I tried a 9 fit well but still a little big! So I went for a 7 and that was a little snug so I decided to go with the 9. Then I tried on a really cute shirt in a Large (my normal size) and it too was big!! So I went for a Medium and it fit well. So although I'm not dropping lbs as quick as before I assume Im losing inches! Either way smaller sizes work for me emoticon

One Month Away from my 1st SPARK anniversary!!!

Sunday, January 29, 2012

I can't believe it's almost been a yr since I joined spark!!
So to celebrate I thought maybe this month I won't focus so much on the lbs lost, I will focus more on the journey!! I can tell you right now I have been feeling great the past couple of weeks I have been more active I have attended more zumba classes and I have spent a little more time at the gym! However its all been "lbs lost" as the main focus. I think I need to "enjoy" the journey a little more now that working out has become part of my new lifestyle. I can feel a great improvement on my endurance during workouts, it amazes me!!

Tonight I will sit and write down my fitness Goals for February.

Cheer me on Sparkies!! Sparkversary is FEB. 27!!

Atta girl! There is soooo much truth in having goals that have nothing to do with the scale. 'Cause when the scale doesn't move, you have to find motivation to keep on going some place else.

I know it's frustrating when you're doing all the right things and the scale isn't cooperating. Hang in there! Sometimes those pounds just disappear all at the same time!

Expect to feel silly as you do the poses. Expect to come away feeling AWESOME. Expect to be corrected (Gently!) by your instructor in case your form isn't quite correct.

Don't expect to be able to do everything. Don't worry that others are watching you and laughing - they're not. Don't give up!

Yoga is something you can come to at any age, at any level of fitness. Everyone is there for themselves, and while you feel like you're on display, no one is watching or judging you - they're just trying to hold the poses at thier best form as well.

Take water, close-fitting but comfy clothing, and look at yoga as your "me time"

Man, I miss yoga now!! LOL

  Wear something comfortable! :D

I went to my very first yoga class in September and it was a class meant for complete newbies. I had the most experience with yoga out of everyone in my class and that was just from my Wii Fit! My instructor went slow and we didn't hold poses for very long and she talked about what yoga is like. If you are going to a beginner's class, they should be very simple and walk you through the pose.

If you are going to just a regular class but this is your first ever one, I would say to talk to the instructor and let them know that it's your first one and ask any questions you might have.

emoticon Good luck! I hope you enjoy it.
