My week without Zumba :(

So this week has been pretty hectic so for one reason or another I did not make a single zumba class:( I usually go 3-4 times a week!! I have been doing the boot camp videos, went to toning class, and have managed to stay pretty active all week!! But I realize I NEED zumba class!! So the goal for next week is better time managment....I really have to take advantage of this month (gym wise) because DS will be out of school at the end of the month...then I won't have as much time. Well today I chaperone DS field trip :) Hope you have an awesome Friday!

So feeling a bit encouraged by actually surpassing my 1500 min goal for April I thought I would set the bar just as high for May. May will be tough fitness wise because it is a super busy month at DS school with the winding down of the school yr and all that comes with that he also begins t-ball and swimming lessons this month so there is less "ME" time but NO EXCUSES I will make it happen!! Also lots of family birthdays and things of that nature! Also let the party planning begin for DS 7th birthday next month!! Yikes 7 already! Where has time gone?

May fitness minutes

1 25 min arc trainer,45 min swimming pool with D
2 60 min totally toned class,10 min challenge video
3 Challenge videos day 2(10 min),3(6 min),4(7 min)
4 Went to the museum with DS (field trip) lots of walking
5 Challenge video day 5 12 min

8 20 min jog/walk on treadmill, 30 min water walking

Yes indeed I am, I have been feeling awesome totally opposite of the lethargic couch potatoe I once was (not very long ago LOL) So this morning I was driving back from taking DH to work, saw the most beautiful sunrise (insert awwww here LOL) and thought WOW I'm one lucky girl. I see gorgeous sunrises almost every morning and rarely do I appreciate them! So this morning while I was at the stop light I just admired it for a few seconds and thought "It' going to be an awesome day" this may seem silly to you but before I started my weight loss journey or better said my healthy lifestyle journey I don't think I was seeing the beauty in things. Sad I know. But I see it now and actually seek it out if its not in plain sight! Good food, good mood I guess. The manicure I got yesterday also helped emoticon had an awesome zumba class although I forgot my hairtie and it was HOT!! On a not so positive note my fridge is not working well... emoticon so I have to figure out if it's worth repairing it or if it is time for a new one. Excited for tommorow my DS will be singing at school for their spring festival!!! He is so awesome! Oh by the way President Obama spent the night in my city last night!! I wonder if he caught a glimpse of the sunrise this am LOL. Anyway have an awesome day remember to seek the beauty in things (even broken appliances) emoticon

Congrats!! I was the same way! I just went through the motions and survived the day but never took time out to see any of the beauty that is all around us. That got better when I quit my job, and it's getting better as I focus on health!

That's cool about the prez - I would love to meet him!

Well I weighed in this am...still 142.9!!!! I guess it's ok since I did have a birthday this past week which included extra food, cake and of course alcoholic beverages (my nemesis LOL) Also I would have to be honest and say I could have worked out a little more...I do know my clothes are fitting much much better though.

So I made the sushi recipe that I found here on Spark and it turned out awesome super easy to make and much much lower in calories and sodium than store bought sushi! Oh and much cheaper also LOL I snapped a quick pic to share!

Planning for next week,making sushi, new fitness classes @ my gym, new workout clothes!!

So I'm planning the menu for the upcoming week this morning and decided I'm going to attempt to make sushi LOL wish me luck I found the recipe here on Spark so I guess we will see how it goes... I have to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things. Tracked my food everyday this week and managed to stay within my cal. range! (just barely a couple of days) emoticon . This week my gym is starting 2 new fitness classes which I want to try they are 25 min each one is an ab/core workout and the other is called lethal legs so I want to at least try them out and see if its something I like. I have never tried any other class besides zumba so we will see how it goes. emoticon . I purchased new workout clothes at the mall the other night super cute black and white Nike outfit! That should motivate me to keep working on my 1500 fitness minutes for April. emoticon I am weighing in tommorow morning, I'm hoping to see progress this week but if not at least I feel great! Clothes don't lie emoticon Have an AWESOME week Sparkies!!

    YAY! Let us know how the sushi turns out... Might just have to try that myself. Good luck with the classes. I personally like classes better I have someone there pushing me and I also feel like I have to do better then the person next to me lol. That's a great goal 1500 minutes! That is going to be my next challenge for myself!
