Spring Challenge Goals

Saturday, March 30, 2013

I've been without cell service and Internet all week and I'm going insane!!!! I love visiting but I cannot wait to get home and back to my life. I don't find it relaxing at all.

I have joined the spring challenge on Spark People.

Part of the challenge is blogging my goals and posting them in my house so I can see them daily.

My weight goal would be to lose 10 pounds.

Health goal would be to have less back and hip pain and to be able to use my inhalers less.

Personal goals are to be able to play more actively with Auggy and overall be happier.

Ugh Winter

Friday, March 15, 2013

I'm so sick of winter. One nice day this week to get outside and of course it just happens to be the day my son doesn't have a good nap so he refuses to sit in the stroller. Hoping tomorrow is nice and I can get outside. I have 733 calories left to burn and tomorrow is my weigh in for my spring challenge I have joined. So I have 2 days to do that not hard if I get a walk in :)

Oh yeah and we are supposed to have another snow storm this weekend. Another foot of lovely white stuff. So depressing :(

This morning I was driving to work, it was chilly, but I was thinking it would be so nice to run on the cleared sidewalks down town because there is still so much snow at home...I come out of work to windy snowy icky's horrible much for running!

Oh, my son is always ready to go for a walk! Tired or not! :-) Hope you are able to get some workouts in. Some days it is so much easier than others. Those no nap days are the worst!

We don't like winter and when summer comes along then we complain about the heat. Oh what a predicament that leaves us in. emoticon

15 Days of Exercise

Monday, March 11, 2013

Well I can't say it has been easy every day. A few times I worked out at 11pm at night after putting my son down for the night because I didn't get any time during the rest of the day.

This Sunday, the 10th, was very difficult. I didn't have time at all to exercise and my son was fussy so I couldn't even workout after putting him down. But I kinda expected this so right from the morning I did extra steps, made movements into stretches and took the stairs as fast as possible. We parked far from the entrance of the restaurant we went to and I tried to stay standing and walking at our inlaws instead of sitting on the couch.

I have decided to try for another 15 days because I've been seeing results as in more energy and easier to do but no weight loss. Actually I've been gaining and thats very not motivating.

I'll post again as I go. TTYL

sometimes he will be content but it seems that when he should be going down for a nap but wakes up for some reason he can't fall back asleep. then he is really fussy and wants to be held or just nurse.

I borrowed a playpen from a friend so maybe that will help emoticon

emoticon emoticon I have a 4 month old and I workout as soon as I'm done feeding him that way I know he won't be too fussy. I put him in his rocking chair, in his saucer or on his playmat. He seems to let me get in an hour. Have you tried working out right after a feeding? Or does he just like to be held?

Short Term Goal

Monday, March 04, 2013

I am currently on day 8 of my exercise streak. I am setting a short term goal of 15 days. So 7 more days until I meet it!!

I am trying out the SparkCoach to see how I like it and if it helps me any.

I also looked up gyms in my area. Snap Fitness has a 30 day trial for only $8 but no childcare. Meaning I'd have to go in the evening when Simon is home but evenings are the hardest with our son. It's generally when he is the most fussy and wants Mama. Core Fitness has couples package for $24.50 per month and the first month is 50% off. They do have a childcare area but its not currently up and running.

I really hope they get that set up soon because I would love to be able to go but don't want to waste my money right now.

Hey! It has been really hard for me to get fitness to be a priority! How is Spark Coach going? I am looking over the next 3 weeks to get myself moving! Not really looking at clubs right now, but hope to take a couple classes. Check in with me. I'd love to see how you are progressing on your goals!

Day 6

Sunday, March 03, 2013

I'm currently on Day 6 of my exercise streak. I have laundry that needs folded but I know after I work out I'll have more energy so I'm trying to convince myself to get started. Bubby is almost out then I can get up and get started.

I read a quote today that said something along the lines of ' a year from now you won't regret starting today.' I think that's true for me. I don't want to be in the same place a year from now. I don't want my now to be my future. Obesity runs in the woman in my family and I refuse to battle this my whole life. Which is why I want to make changes now to make it happen!!!!
