Well I got most everything packed for the trip to the trailer on the Mississippi, it's supposed to be beautiful weather this weekend, so I'm looking forward to it. I may be fishing alone Saturday morning as my husband and his brother will be going to Prairie du Chien to try to get a hunter's choice license for their area. Hard to do on the computer, besides, we don't have a computer up at the trailer...we don't even have a tv. BUT we do have an indoor bathroom. :D
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend ahead of you, get out there and enjoy it, and never forget, even when I'm not here, you're still on my mind!

Had a great time with our family; husband, son, daughter, and her boyfriend, when we went out to our son, Scott's favorite place to eat for his birthday. We've done this for an extremely long time, taken them out to wherever they wanted to eat for their birthday.
Scott had wanted Big Bang Theory Season 5, and River Monsters Season 4; but RM wasn't available, so Brande (our daughter) bought him the Big Bang Theory Season 5 and Duck Dynasty, seasons 1 & 2. I love both of those shows, they're hilarious, so I'm watching Season 1 now.
Scott and his "cake", actually it's a LARGE chocolate chip cookie I'd made from scratch. Behind him is a banner I'd made out of plastic canvas and yarn; when they were 2 and have used every year, taking a pic of them in front of it at every birthday.
He'd gotten his other gifts Sunday when we returned from Boone County (his birthday was 8/8, but we were at the fair); and he got one before we left. He's going to be busy reading his books, bought him 2 he wanted about WWII, he loves to read about that. I'm so proud of him, he got his History Degree and I wish he would be able to get a job using it. He'd be incredibly good at it. He can tell anyone anything about WWII; he knows every battle, every officer, everything that happened, even the most unknown things. He always makes us proud, as does his sister.
Anyway, time to get my butt moving, I need to freeze some potatoes I cut for fries, so I need to blanche them first. Have a great day, everyone.

I did my measurements today then went to post them, and realized....I'd not put my last set up there. How frustrating. So I'll post them here.
Upper Arm: 18.50
Hips: 53 (grrrr)
Upper Arm: 18
So, for the most part I have lost, which is great, but for my hips. I don't understand that, but oh well, don't stop. Now I've just got to figure out how to put it on my tracker.
Well, we're going up to the trailer on Friday, one day I'll have a free weekend....in late October. *LOL*
Have a great day, everyone, I'm going to go read my book! Oh, and remember to smile, it not only makes you feel better, but may make the day of someone else!

After walking every day at the fair, these morning walks aren't too bad. Yesterday, though, I was just a little tired, but I think that was because:
1) My left foot hurt from being stepped on by the pony;
2) It was hot and humid, different from the weather we had at the fair, for the most part.
3) After the week long time at the fair, I was wore out.
So, I guess I'm more than ready today, I hope. For some reason we have a influx of moths in the house, well, to me there's a lot. Saw 4 or 5 last night in the living room, the small ones, but, of course, this morning I only see one, and he's in a place I can't get to him....or her. :D
Time to go for my walk, I hope you all have a wonderful day, and don't forget that smile!

Our Son's birthday "cake/cookie".
The fair went wonderfully, our daughter ended up with some firsts, reserve Grand Champion, seconds (in HUGE classes); and a 3rd, I believe. She did awesome. I did a TON of walking, so exercise was no problem.
Got up and did my walking here, at home, again, the weather is humid today. We also still have our daughters Golden here, but he's going home later. He's been such a sweetie.
Anyway, so here's some pics, I hope you enjoy them.
Brenda, Castiel, Brande in the foal class, Cas got first in this class. His mom and him got 2nd in the Mare & Foal class (it's judged according to how close they look in color..the first place ones were both all black. Dottie is Cas's mom, she's in the 2nd pic after this, so you can see how close they are in coloring. Castiel's dad is in the next pic, Ty.)
Ty, Brande, and Brenda after winning 2nd out of 20+ ponies in driving class.
Brande with Dottie; Alyssa with Sue (both Brande's ponies) Sue got 3rd in this huge class, Dottie got 5th out of 21 ponies.
(Not the clearest, camera focused in on the fence instead of Brande and Mercedes)
Brande/Mercedes was placed in 2nd when the judge pulled them from the lineup of 23 ponies, then at the last minute, he moved Mercedes to first, where she went on to win Reserve Grand in all the Shetland mares Class. (My camera was set on burst, so I got two pics in one.)
