Wow, talk about a change in weather, yesterday it was so warm out and today it's really cool, at least that breeze it. I had the ceiling fan on full blast yesterday and I'm about ready to close the windows today. I can't believe how much things have changed from when we first moved into our home. Used to be I had wished we'd gotten an air conditioner put in the house because it was always so hot in here, but now...we don't really need one hardly, a quick jump in the pool and we're good to go.
For some reason the weather has changed so drastically that even when the day is hot, you still get that cool breeze, no matter what! That's so weird, but what can you do....I guess be thankful for it, because otherwise we'd be roasting, right? No complaints, then, just enjoy.
Have a wonderful day, and I'm leaving Saturday morning, early, heading to Green Bay, for our neices wedding, so have a fantastic weekend everyone and always smile!

I saw the sweetest thing today that just renewed my faith in mankind. My daughter and I were sitting in the living room and a car stopped in front of the house, and a teen got out, actually 3 of them did. They walked to the side of the road and then two of them walked back to the car, but didn't get it, the other stood at the side. we decided to go out and see what was going on, and as we got closer, the one near the side of the road explained that a tiny kitten had been sitting in the middle of the road and they wanted to put it in the ditch so it wouldn't get hit.
I nearly start tearing up, that just never happens anymore, most people would run it down, but to see 3 teen boys stop and actually get out of their car to help a helpless little kitten was incredible. I'm so proud of them, they will grow up to be men to look up to, that's for sure, if they aren't already. I know I look up to them.
It certainly renews you're belief in mankind, I'm so happy there are still a lot of good teens in the world like them, that means our future is in good hands, and I thank God for showing me this today. And most of all, I thank them for showing their true selves to us, I'm so proud of them, and they should be proud of themselves.
Remember, never ever judge anyone by how they look, because you never know what they're truly like inside, the outside never reveals what the inside is like.
Have a glorious day, everyone, I certainly will.

I'm washing ALL the bed linens today, wow, didn't realize how much there was, and somewhere I have hidden another set of sheets for our room, but I can't find them...just like I can't find the extra test strips I had to test my blood sugar. Funny how things just tend to vanish, isn't it. :D
Anyway, it's a beautiful day today, and I have to get my butt in gear and get my exercises done. I hope you all enjoy the day and show that beautiful smile to others...it's fun to share!

Wow, it's actually a "summer" day here today, complete with the humidity, but hey, I wanted summer and that's our summers here. Now just to get the pool cleaned up so we can swim in it..if it gets warm.
I remember the days when I'd have to jump in the pool before bed, just to cool off enough to sleep. I miss those days/nights, but oh well
Oh, for the trip, I made sure we had hotels with pools so I could get in my exercise, I believe they all have exercise rooms too.. I'm a little nervous about going to NC with my daughter alone, because normally when we travel, we all go together. I guess it makes me feel more secure with my husband around, I'll miss him, especially on my birthday. Oh well, I'll enjoy the time with our daughter.
I hope you all have a great week ahead, and a wonderful today.

I'm so happy for our son, he finally got to see one of the "heritage" engines he's been trying to get for months, if not a year. He takes such good pictures, I wish he'd take my suggestion and make a book of them all, he knows so much about each engine, it'd be easy for him to do. But he just doesn't want to, I mean with 3-4 BIG photo albums of just the engines he's seen, it'd be such a great book. Here's a few of the photos of the special "heritage" units, as you can see they look quite different than normal Engines of that "line".
Erie RR Heritage NS 1068
Illinois RR Heritage NS 1072
New Jersey RR Heritage NS 1071
New York Central RR Heritage NS 1066
Penn Central RR Heritage NS 1073
Virginia RR Heritage NS 1069
Southern RR Heritage NS 8099
Hope you enjoyed Scott's photos, and I pray you all have a wonderful day!
