What are you concentrating on today .!!! Are you obsessing on the fact that you didn't lose weight , or that you are a little overweight. Or are you more interested in the fact that your family truly loves and needs you. ?
If you concentrate more on the happiness in your life you will have easier and better success with your exercise, healthy eating and weight loss .
Eat the fruits and vegetables, grains and lean meats that make you happiest. Don't waste time and enjoyment eating apples if you don't truly love them. Make sure you get the proper nutrients , how you go about it is all up to you.
Do the exercises that bring pure joy to your life . If you love to dance , dance away . If you love to jump and run than go right ahead. Don't waste time on exercise that is not fun for you . Exercise should be challenging not boring or bone crushing painful.
Exercise and eating right is a small part of your day fill the rest up with happiness and love.
Today my son and I ate separate salads and talked about our health issues and our day. My daughter and I went on a 45 minute walk around the block where we discussed making an action plan for our bills. This morning my husband brought me a black coffee , and a bagel with egg whites.
Spend your day looking for happiness . Spend your day giving and receiving love. If we try our hardest to do these to things , the rest of our lives will fall right into it's proper place. Then we can happily lose the weight , and happily gain our health back. Hugs, Happiness and Healthy Living

Wondering how to be more successful at gaining control of your weight? Easy gain more control of your time..
Some easy ways to control your time better put up a do not disturb sign . There are times of the day that my family knows not to disturb me unless they want me to be disturbed . I don't literally need a sign but they do know not to bother me when I write my blogs and when I exercise . Disruptions take time away from your goals , wants and needs . Mommy desperately needs some alone time .
Another easy way to gain control of time is to make more appointments. Really? Really.!!!! If you know when you are exercising , grocery shopping , cooking and eating it is easier to be successful. We have four people using the washer and dryer at my house making appointments for the washer and dryer saves less time walking down two flights of stairs to find it in use . Make yourself water and sleep appointments also and keep them.
Another way to gain more control of your time is to delegate. If someone is already going out have them pick up your coffee or paper saving time and money for extra gas. Delegate or barter house hold chores to save you more time to cook healthy or exercise. For instance I grocery shop . The husband or kids if home bring in the groceries. I take care of the pantry upstairs , and the refrigerator. Someone else brings down the groceries to my storage area in the cellar or the freezer.
Multi task sometimes helps . Pick up the clothes at the cleaner , the prescriptions at the pharmacy and the groceries all in one trip. Be careful if you are multitasking your cooking , you don't want to burn down the house . Doing too much multitasking can put too much stress on you defeating the purpose. In that case scaling down may be smarter . Do you really need to make a special trip to a store to save 20 cents . Probably not.
We spend a lot of time at work sometimes more than home. Let your coworkers know when you don't want to be disturbed, when you are available and when you will check your emails . You don't want to get behind checking emails all day and get stuck bringing work home,
If you have the money get a dvr or a dvd machine . Taping your favorite shows to watch after you work out or cook a healthy supper makes more sense . You can even scroll through the commercials,.
Another way to save time is to set it and forget it. Use your crockpot to cook healthy meals, Yesterday I made stew at 8am and had it cooking on a low heat all day , in the oven . No need to stir, add ingredients etc.
Also sync your Tec devices once a day , because we all know once you get on that computer time has a way of erasing .

The Grinch had a hold of me big time for a while . I am sure we all have felt his touch this holiday season, We miss the ones not here . We long for the good old times , and we feel there is not enough time or money .
I have been battling shoulder pain that has me sidelined . Getting dressed is hard , my right arm is the problem the one you do everything with. So today although I owe the doctor money and would rather be wrapping the few presents we have I went to the doctors. While there I was contemplating how the party I am hosting tomorrow is supposed to go ,if all I feel like is going to sleep to get rid of the pain.
A few x-rays later we learned I have calcified bursitis in the front and back of my shoulder and a possible rotor cuff issue. Since I have a pacemaker and can't have an mri the only other way to diagnose the problem would involve injecting dye in my shoulder and then poking around . It's very painful. So after talking to my very sympathetic doctor we decided on a cortisone shot and a prayer . At least I will have less pain for Christmas .
It was pretty cool talking to my doctor about exercise workouts and when I can start again, and what I can do, My doc is 60 but looks 45 because he works out everyday . He wants me to use that shoulder but not to over use it.
Since I believe in the power of prayer and the magic of Christmas and the fat jolly old elf I think I should have a good outcome,
