I need some!

Thursday, October 07, 2010

I am having a hard time getting back into the groove. I'm back to doing my regular exercise, but it doesn't seem to be working. I have to get back to tracking my food.

Hang in there. All is not lost! You are still trying and reaching out. That is still a victory. Make yourself a promise to write down everything you eat even if that is the only thing you do right now. Staying aware is sooooo important.

They are both equally important in my opinion.

I struggled like that for 4 months, then on Sept. 1 I set an outrageous goal and from there I had the SPARK.
I think we have to find it. Some people say: "Fake it til' you make it",
but that doesn't mean much when you are down.
My spark fire still continues with a new outrageous goal for October. I wish I could ZAP you with some really motivational words. JUST KEEP GOING, DON'T GIVE UP.

If you try and make one good food choice a day you can slowly work back into tracking. I think we all like to play ostrich and have the attitude that if I don't see it it is not happening.

But if we make that one good choice, it usually will lead to another and then it is not so bad to track... Good luck ... Terri =)

Hi..... I find for me, that I have to change my workout routine a little from time to time to keep things going in the right direction. Our bodies like routine and get comfortable with it which can , in my case, slow my efforts down. Hang in there, I know YOU can do it! Have a joy filled day, Karen emoticon

I know exactly how you feel. I can't quit eating! I swear, it's like my body is preparing to hibernate or something.

Start out by tracking everything you matter what it is. Then, focus on making healthy choices. Then, you can focus on the total calories. It has to get easier, right? Just don't give up! The struggle is worth it and so are you!!

Have you tried Walking Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone? She is very perky and I like to go downstairs and walk with her and her gang when I need motivation.

Hi Sparkfriends

I've been away for a while. Still counting cals but busy trying to adjust to my son's new school schedule. He has to be in school at 7:20am so I'm up by 5 and he's up at 5:45am. This is only 7th grade but I swear this school is like high school. My elementary school went up to the 8th grade. But this school changes classes, and they have a rotating schedule schedule. They also have lockers and quizzes and tests 3-4 days/week. They have gym 2-3 days/week also. My son is handling it better than I am. I'm totally exhausted and it hasn't even been a full month yet.

I'm back to walking after the surgery a few months ago. It was hard getting back into the swing of things, but i've been getting in 5 days. I need to up my steps though. I haven't been doing 10,000/day, but I'm working on getting back to that.

i hope everyone is doing fine. You probably won't hear from me for a while. I'm working on a few projects and am basically squeezing in cooking and housework along with exercise.

Have a great week everyone.

For us is rainy season so most days are rather nice and cool,'cause it rains very late at night or quite early in the morning, so it does not block our daily activities.

Creamed cucumbers? okay, you are braver than I am. hah hah hah.
Today I tried real coffee (not my usual de-caf)
from the hospital cafeteria. It was delicious, and so far I feel no ill effects.
HAPPY COOL DAY... (happy winds day?)

Try something new today

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

I'm going to the store to find something new to eat. Something I've never had the nerve to try. Don't know what it is, but I'll let you know tomorrow how it turned out.

And if you decide to try a new food, work out routine, route to work, or anything let me know about it.

My husband and I have treid a couple of different style honeydew melons. One was the Santa Claus, which I didn't mind and i'm not a honeydew fan. We also tried the Canary and this week I will be trying the one we bought called Crenshaw! Good luck.

I agree with GEMINISKY. I've been eating quinoa, and I like it a lot.
I tried an apple from New Zealand last week, and I think it was the best apple I've ever tasted!

The Happy Crasher

Monday, August 16, 2010

Is there a mystical force in the world that watches us and sees when we are on a happy streak just to come along and try to make our lives miserable? It never fails. I can be going along minding my own business, feeling good about most things in my life and all of a sudden... Someone, or something will come along and crash my happy party. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?

You cannot control what happens, but you can control your response to it. It does stink when downers happen but try not to let it get you down. Hope it goes better for you tomorrow!

I think it happens to us all, but as Paul mentions we wouldn't feel happiness if we also didn't have sadness, pain and grief. Things will look up again!

Just walk away and let them go. They are not worth the time or effort. I only keep positive people around. Too much negativity going on in this world. Keep your chin up and walking one foot in front of another. We can do this together!! Take care, Moni emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
