My son graduated from a program in his school that helps mentor boys with skills they need to learn like how to be a productive man. It's called Building Men. They learned about finances, doing chores, brotherhood, helping others, etc. All schools should have such a program for young boys.
Thanks to those teachers who take their time to spend on the future generation.
At the end of the program they selected the top 4 boys for certain categories.
My son won the Mr. Excellence Award. He was excited and wasn't expecting it. He really deserves it because he is a very unique individual.
He has struggled with academics , but he has continued to do over and beyond what is expected of him. He was bullied at one point but instead of getting angry, he joined the bully committee and gave speeches to the students on how to not be bullied and how bullies can stop being bullies.
He's only 11, but he's wise beyond his years.
He has so many ideas and is such a loving and caring person. The teachers all love him and can't wait to tell me that every time I go to the school.
I am truly blessed and grateful to have him as my son.
