Last night I got to harvest broccoli, cauliflower, and cheddar flower from my garden. Cheddar cauliflower is a milder tasting cauliflower and it has 25% more beta carotene than regular cauliflower. I was so happy to have fresh veggies and the family and I sat down and snacked on them while we were waiting on dinner to finish.
I spent part of Sunday in the emergency room of my local hospital because of an infection in my thumb which turned out to be cellulitis and staph. I had to do three doses of i.v. antibiotics and now I am on a 10 day regimen of 2 different oral antibiotics. I am so sick of taking all these extra meds that I could scream but what can I do? I am glad that I got my thumb taken care of though because when I got into the ER the doctor made the comment that I had blood poisoning starting.
I am so ready for everything to calm down around my house. I have to go have more tests done before I can schedule my hysterectomy and it has been crazy at work. The kids are getting ready to start school again and although I am excited about that I am also bummed because that means the start of fall and our ever long winters. We haven't gotten school clothes shopping done or anything because of how crazy the month of July was.
I have to go finish a project at the office and then I am off to a followup with the Dr.
Talk to you all soon!
