A New Day. A New Beginning!

Yesterday I wrote that I was in a rut. Thanks to everyone who left comments. I appreciate all the support and advice you all shared.

I have decided to embrace today and take advantage of a new beginning of a new day. I have to realize that just because things aren't going as well as I thought they would, that it doesn't mean to give up and quit.

Obstacles are part of life too. I am looking at each obstacle with a positive mind, knowing that I can and will conquer them all! One obstacle at a time!

Today is going to be a great day no matter what!

In A Rut. Need To Snap Out Of It QUICK!!!!

I have been a rut for the past couple days. It just seems like everything I do doesn't work or doesn't have the outcome that I expected.

Everything feels like it is crashing down on me. I don't know what to do.

I am taking control of my feelings today and I will not be in this rut ANYMORE!!!!

    I have had those times and it really either busts or confidence or makes you stronger. I agree with everyone, if possible, focus on something a little different, then come back to this. Praying for you today! emoticon

    Try doing something that's totally fun - jumping on a trampoline, playing a game outside with friends/family, or dancing around your living room. It's easy for exercise to become monotonous and boring over time. By finding the fun in it again it can help!

    Taking control of your emotions is great. May I also suggest - do something COMPLETELY different today. It can really help to change your mindset. Whether it is an exercise you've never done, a new food, whatever. Change something today.

Fell Off The Wagon

I have fallen off the wagon a little bit. My eating hasn't been too bad, but I haven't been keeping up with my exercising. I have been letting everything else get in my way from exercising.

I have made a new schedule that I am going to stick with. I have written down everything that I need to do and made time slots for my business, school work, exercising, and family time.

I am hoping that this will help me manage my time better. I use to be able to manage my time better when I had a normal job. I was there for almost 6 years, so I have to retrain my brain so I can be a successful entrepreneur that I know I can be.

Everything takes time and a lot of trial and error. I will make everything work! I will be successful! I am successful at so many things now!

On a brighter note:

I was prompted with my business the beginning of the month. Thanks to my wonderful business mentor! My next promotion will be a FREE BMW!

Also. I can now wear a pair of size 18 shorts! I had them on over the weekend when I was playing with the kiddos in our sprinkler. I haven't worn those in years!

    Thanks everyone! I guess I need to make sure I hit spell check when I post a blog lol.

My promotion was definitely a confidence booster. Now I believe that I can achieve anything with my business. This will mean more income coming in so we can take family trips together.

I definitely have found my true calling. I am going to fully embrace it and make things happen. I love the company and the amazing people that I am connecting with on a daily basis.

    Alandis--Welcome back! I know from experience that one of the pitfalls of entrepreneurship is structuring time. I've just lined up a lot of business and now I have to fulfill my obligations which are not due for a while.

I'm feeling a little unstructured myself right now. I will work on that today. We all fall off the wagon with food or exercise. I'm convinced it's part of the human genome!

Congrats on your business success. What do you mean you were "prompted"? Do you mean "promoted"? What does this mean for you? Good luck on getting your free BMW.

Having A Hard Time With Time Management

I am such a busy person and I am having such a hard time with my time management.

Promoting my business, homeschooling my oldest son, starting school myself and trying to work in more exercise is driving me crazy!

I am trying to become a more positive person and not dwell on all the negative stuff that comes my way.

I know my business is going to take me far! I am enjoying what I do and I think I have found my calling.

My son is doing spectacular in school. We do a homeschool program online and I incorporate anything else that I can to get him ahead.

I started school about two weeks ago for accounting and I thought it was going to be easier because I did great when I was in highschool. I even worked most of my highschool years and I did other activities. So I don't understand how I am having so much trouble managing my time now.

I guess it's hard for me to take time out for myself and concentrate on me. Plus I know that sometimes when I am doing school work or promoting my business while my hubby is off, he gets a little annoyed.

But things have to get done somehow. Everything will pay in the end! I know that! It's just getting there is going to be a challenge.

    When my ex and I had our business and we were running it out of the house I had issues with time management. It didn't help when he thought I could be "on" call to run and get him this and that and then bring it out to him on the job. What I found help me was I place a time schedule up all over the house. I made working out my first thing in the morning to do and work it from there. For me I have found that working out before doing anything else helps my day, I seem to have more energy then if I try to do it last or one of the last items. It becomes one more thing on the to do list that may or may not get done.

I'd sit down and look at your weekdays and figure out what the normal is and start writing down what times that usually takes place and start filling in the rest from there. Then place the time schedule all over the house so you see it always and anyone else that may relay on you to do stuff for them. This may or may not work for you but it won't hurt to give it a try emoticon

As in my comment above I am no longer with my son's father, but the person I am with (and I don't live with him) I write on his calendars what my schedule is so he knows what days I go to bed early so I get up early the next morning to run. Now I do it more for him then me just because my son is old enough to take care of himself if need be. It's just the boyfriend that seems to think that it's ok to get to my house at 10 at night and keep me up till Midnight when I have plans of getting up at 5 to run. I've placed the foot down and have been on track for the last two weeks and I don't plan on giving up my 5 in the morning runs. I have way too much energy now during my day to turn back. emoticon

    HI! You do have a full plate. However, just remember that you are the hub of the family wheel. If you do not run on all cylinders, no one else does. You also make the great point that you are a role model.

You must put yourself first. Your marriage is the next spoke of the wheel. Believe me, I know the temptation of working 24/7--I have done it. However, if you don't set boundaries around your work time and husband/family time now, you will establish a precedent and won't change it later. And family time is "you" time, too.

The kids come next and then the business--what business is it, anyway?

You are right. Time management is one of the biggest challenges. This is especially true of a home-based business b/c the usual boundaries are absent. You don't travel to an office and leave to come home.

You are right Jolette! I do put my exercise on the list last which is horrible because I want to be a great role model for my kids. Plus exercising is part of my business. That is one reason why I joined the business that I did, so I could become healthier and help other people become healthier too.

I am going to plan out my day better and make sure I put exercise on my schedule. It makes me feel better and helps clear my head. So I definitely need that time to myself.

    It sounds like you have taken on quite a bit. Have you noticed anything in particular that always seems to get the last crumb of the time pie? If I had to guess.. I would say time for you to do what you need for you. Meaning your exercise and other things that go with the healthier living you are seeking.

I don't know how you divide your day, but as an example lets take exercise. If you are struggling to exercise an hour everyday...maybe reevaluate the goal and take it down a step. Maybe change it to 30 minutes a day. You may find that is easier to achieve, and you will have success instead of finding one more thing to get frustrated with yourself for not having time.

My New Beginning

I have always been overweight even as a child. My whole family is overweight. I raised on fried and boxed meals when I was growing up.

I have been trying throughout the years to become healthier, but I never have fully committed myself to anything. I wouldn't get the results that I wanted quick enough, so it was hard to stay motivated to continue.

I have recently found a great program and I am surrounding myself with wonderful and positive people that are on the same journey. I have seen wonderful results so far, even though I wasn't fully committed during the whole program.

I have started a new challenge and this time I will be 110% committed.

I want to be able to wear a bathing suit this summer without worrying if I look like a beach whale. I want to be able to wear shorts and skirts when it is 90 degrees outside and enjoy playing with my kids.
