It's a brand new year!

Sunday, January 02, 2011

I'm partnering online with a friend who moved away. She was my workout buddy who would meet me at 6:00 in the morning for a run before work. She contacted me today about being her "online" workout buddy so we can hold each other accountable for our fitness plan. I am going to try her workout schedule and see how it goes!

Another Monday

Monday, December 06, 2010

So the weekend went okay. Kept my eating under control. Started drinking more water and walking a little. Got to start somewhere I guess. Today's challenge will be the coffee pot (free service) at work. It's too close to my office. Ha! ha! I will just have to Make myself fill up my coffee cup with ice water instead of coffee and see how that goes. Watch out co-workers ~ Tina is on the downside of a caffeine addiction. No coffee ~ No Ms. Nice Guy. :-)

Today is starting over day

I've been on Sparkpeople for 5 years now and cannot seem to dedicate myself the cause of getting back to a healthy weight. My oldest son recently left for boot camp and kindly left me his new bike to use while he is gone. He told me he wants me to be on my way back to a healthy weight when he graduates in late February. I plan to keep that promise to him and hopefully start losing some of this excess weight. I believe if I set a low goal of just 1 pound a week and start eating better, as well as riding his bike for 30 minutes a few days a week, I will start to see that I'm actually losing more than 1 pound a week.

Sounds like you have a plan. Some small healthy changes to your eating habits and biking should start moving you in the right direction....and what better motivation than surprising your son who is also doing a wonderful thing in joining the service and protecting our country!!
You gotta put your best foot forward now!! WooHoo You can do it!
