Take it easy? WHAT does that mean?

Thursday, June 26, 2008

No clue what relaxation means around here. I try to relax and just can't let myself do it. My mind is constantly racing with what I have to do next!

House update: We get to move in a few days sooner than we thought. YEAH! One month to go. We are on the downhill slide!

BTW - I stayed within my calorie range for the first time in weeks yesterday!

Goals for today:
Write 5 questions
Pack 3 boxes
Finish kitty quilt
Make peach/green quilt top
exercise

GOALS UPDATE:
Wrote 4 questions
Packed 4 boxes
Finished kitty quilt
Started peach/green quilt top
exercised

I was going to check in and see how the packing was coming along. Sounds like you are getting things done. They say to write things down and then you can let go of them and avoid the mind racing. It does help for me sometimes. I know what you mean though. There's always one more thing to do or remember. Today is the last day of school. No kids but teachers had to report. My room is completely done and I am actually sitting here catching up on the magazines I haven't read for the past three months and I decided to stop by all my friends pages and say hi. For once, I am actually feeling relaxed. Although, I am sick with a fever again....I slept over 13 hours last night. Ugh. I really wanted to workout but when you're sick, you're sick.

Yea, I often wonder what relaxation means but I have found that without it, I am so very pissy! Try to make 5 minutes to relax. I had my 5 minutes this morning here at work, in the bathroom! Haha I work out in the bathroom too! It works so I work it

I think I can, I KNOW I CAN!

The little engine that could has a lesson for all of us. We tend to forget those positive words of encouragement for ourselves. If you think you can... YOU KNOW YOU CAN!!!!

I am feeling more optimistic today. So far - stress levels are low, drinking lots of water, getting things accomplished, and controlling the eating.

Goals for today:
Pack 2 boxes
Finish peach quilt, burgandy quilt and cat quilt; box to be shipped
Cut out new quilt
Cardio and strength today
write 2 test questions

GOALS UPDATE
3 boxes packed
itty bitty cardio and strength
peach quilt finished and boxed
burgandy quilt finishes
new quilt cut out
2 questions written

Hi busy and beautiful lady...I would like to please buy a cat quilt. I love kitties and animal prints and my collection would be almost complete with a kitty quilt. If you can make it a bit larger I'll pay extra too (since I'm so big) but will take in joy what I can get! No hurry...just let me know how much to save...just a throw quilt. Oh and by the way, this one is just FANTASTIC!!! emoticon

I DID!!!!

Stress is getting the better of me. I did so well yesterday until the kids really stressed me out last night. Then munch, munch, munch. Gum doesn't do the trick to keep the jaws moving. I have to figure something out. Chocolate is the problem. Then I want salty. Then I want Dr. Pepper. Sigh. I will fight this somehow!!!

I have training today for the test writing job I do. Hubby didn't catch my schedule and scheduled a meeting for the 1st hour of my training. The training is over the phone from 2-5 pm. I am going to try to get the kids to take their nap during that first hour. PLEASE say a prayer it will work. He didn't tell about the meeting until 10:30 last night. I don't have anyone to watch the kids. BIG SIGH!!!!!!

Goal list today:
Pack 2 boxes
Clean kitchen
Finish peach quilt
Do 2 loads of laundry
strength train

GOAL UPDATE
2 boxes packed
kitchen cleaned twice
peach quilt NOT finished - but started piecing two others
Laundry done
exercise done
AND did the conference call training with 3 wonderful kids since hubby's meeting was at 3 pm not 2 pm. I AM SO PROUD OF THE KIDDOS!

    Hey Ang,
I know how hard it can be to make those tough decisions when it's late at night. The next time that you want chocolate, just say to yourself "If I do what I know I must do now, I will meet my goal." It really helps. Good luck! I know you can do this.

when i first started spark, i was a pepsiholic. i also suffered with those late night chocolate cravings. i quit the pepsi cold turkey and just forced myself to guzzle water everytime i wanted one. it eventually did the trick and those craving quit coming back, though i did suffer head aches for the first couple weeks, but i drank A LOT of pepsi. but i really wanted to encourage you to give up the soda, that stuff is poison and does terrible things to our bodies!

as for my chocolae craving...quaker makes these 90 calorie chocolate chunk granola bars. they really arent that expensive. they have pretty decent amount of chocolate in them, enough to fool your brain into thinking you got somthing really bad for ya! just thought id share.

Emotional

Monday, June 23, 2008

"sometimes cutting an onion can be so emotional!"

So many things are making me emotional! My mom and I started selling quilts on the web. Right now we only have one for sale. Today I should be putting our second one up. I have 4 more waiting to be done. Plus I have two ministry quilts I need to finish this week. Anyway - if you ever need a quilt, they range from $20 - 35 including shipping and handling.

Today I have to start getting in some exercise again. It has been a week and a half. Maybe that is why my energy levels are so low. Even if it is simply some strength training.

Today I WILL eat my 5 freggies.

AND - today I MUST pack at least 4 boxes and do at least 2 loads of laundry.

SO goal list for Monday:
Finish Thomas Quilt
Pack at least 4 boxes
Do at least 2 loads of laundry
Exercise

UPDATE GOALS COMPLETE!
Thomas done & started new quilt
Packed 4 boxes plus labeled and reorganized stuff in garage
Did 4 loads of laundry
Strength training

Girl, you are busy. Like my kids say busier than a one legged man at a butt kickin' contest. emoticon Just remember to take some time for you and think how nice it will be to be in the bigger place. I know you probably are spending a lot of time going through stuff and packing and labeling but it will sure help when you get moved. I hope you enjoyed your little vacation at the farm with the kiddos. Stay positive and remember we all love ya!! emoticon
P.S. emoticon Back!!!!!

What does all this mean? REALLY?

Saturday, June 21, 2008

Frustrated
Tired
Disappointed
Annoyed
Discouraged

The list could go on and on if I let it. So many thoughts racing through this head, and so many thoughts are negative. Maybe I should go back and read some of my previous blogs. I need to dig myself out of this negative swirl. Plus I need to find my way back to being healthy. That has definately taken a downward slide.

I could have written this! I suffered a disappointment this week and I'm having a difficult time shaking it off. Needless to say, healthy habits have slacked off and I was doing so well just a days before. I am trying all of my previous methods and "tricks" to pull me out of this negative spell.
