Sounds like you had a great day!! Little bit of something for every member of the family. Dad and I went out to the Dove Creek Ranch and met the owners and the whole family!! Three sisters own it. We met them, their husbands, four daughters sons-in-law and grandchildren. It is so beautiful there . The ranch house is right on the creek,-- huge live oaks and the spring that feeds the creek is right down a ways from the house. There was another house(with a small stable, pens, and barn) and two cabins that various members of the family were using. We sat and visited about the archeology sites in a large screened in porch--on the opposite side of the ranch house was a deck. It was really nice--beautiful and peaceful. It would be so cool to have a family retreat like that to go to occasionally. These people live in Houston and Washington, D.C.
Have a blessed Sunday!
Luv ya lots

A well deserved weekend

Friday, September 04, 2009

We are hanging out at the house tonight. Tomorrow going to the college football game especially to see the marching band. I want to ENJOY this weekend.

Well, we were trying to schedule my surgery. NOW the doc says she won't do it in-office. We don't have the money for the OR but came up with the money for in-office. So I have been calling around and haven't found anyone yet. My old doc in Plano, TX will do it, but we have to pay off a bill first. And that will require some extra trips and traveling the day of the surgery. I am frustrated. The doc should not have given us a quote for in-office and quote for up-front money if she wasn't going to perform the surgery there after all. VERY misleading!

I was hit by a student this morning. FUN! However, the family that never paid for August tuition - paid in cash today. They have to have the other money by the 18th.

HERE WE ARE! READY FOR THE WEEKEND. ENJOY YOURS!

I'm so sorry about your surgery dilemma. I hope you figure it out soon. I am also sorry you were hit today...that's awful. I haven't had that happen yet. I hope it never does. We start on Tuesday. I'm excited, nervous, happy, anxious...you know the routine! I'm glad that family was able to pay some. Have a FUN weekend Ang! Relax and enjoy!

I hope you can get your surgery soon. I wish we had a national health care system that provided needed care like this for everybody. Of course everybody would have to pay too.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy the football game!

Thoughtful Thursday

Thursday, September 03, 2009

The parents I reported to CPC were never investigated. I found out that the boyfriend tried to choke the baby yesterday afternoon. Mom called the police and he was arrested. But within 5 hours he was out. NOW DHS is investigating! I am so upset because I never checked up on the claim. But should I have to check up? He is now totally ticked! Even with a restraining order, what will really keep him away if he truly wants to do permanent damage to her and the baby? If she doesn't see him coming - and the police aren't called fast enough.... Please say prayers for them.

Well another act as a preschool director, there is one family who has yet to pay for August tuition. Now they owe 2 months as of the 2nd - which none has been paid. I had to tell them if I don't receive a payment tomorrow - they can't return. YUCK! I hate dealing with this stuff.

I am simply exhausted right now. I feel really beat down - and am trying to find the bright side of things.

The other day, my son got in trouble at school for tripping a girl. However, he was punched in the eye and the stomach on the bus (he is only 5). We were playing wrestling and he pushed his sister (3 yr) to hard. She busted her head on the phone adapter (very ugly knot). My other daughter (2 yr) was hit in the eye at preschool yesterday. WHAT IS UP WITH THE WORLD?????

I hope your day is productive and happy!

That seems like way too much for your children to have to go through! I hope they're OK. It used to be that bus drivers would kick kids off who harmed other kids.

I do hope that mom and child stay OK. Keep us posted. It is a scary world out there and there is little social workers or even the police can do when someone makes up his mind to harm a child.

Love the bacon! I'm sure he ate it up right after that pic was taken! We really can learn a lot from cats or other pets.

Problem part 1 - figured some of it out

Tuesday, September 01, 2009

Well - I am having another Big P. I started again this morning. That will explain a lot of the mood and tiredness. It has been 13 days since my last one. And at this moment the cramps are settling in. Geesch!

I am running a low fever today. All the gunk the preschoolers have had has caught up with me I think.

I am disappointed in myself with eating. The desire is just not there - probably because I feel so run down. The quick options take over and junk enters the picture. I know I need to take control again.

Exercising has been better again. I play a lot of farkle on facebook. Last night I invented a routine. If I am playing live opponents, I jog during their turn and walk during my turn. If I am playing for score against the computer, I walk and alternate strength training exercises. Last night I did 20-30 minutes before I knew it.

Well here is to a good day for everyone!

Are you adding some iron tablets to your daily vitamins?(Are you taking your vitamins?) I was thinking that we had talked about that --to help build you up when you are having so many days of BIG P. Hopefully, after Nov. you won't be dealing with this anymore. I wouldn't worry about what you are eating right now. You have so much on your plate (no pun intended) that you need to do what you need to do to have energy and feel good. When things settle down, you'll get back on track again. BTW, you look mah-ve-lous, dah-ling, so don't sweat it!!

Luv Ya--Mom
