Week 2 SP great success so far!

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

Well, I just did the weigh in this am for the end of week two on SP--the end of the first week I was down 8 pounds, a lot, too much, but probably a lot of water. Nothing like that for motivating week 2 though.

End of Week 2, I'm down 1.76 pounds, that's .8 kilos, just what I was looking for. I would be very happy with -1.5 pounds a week, anything else is extra....

I did the program well, I'm still sometimes too high on carbs, but doing very well on fiber and better and better on protein. The carbs thing is clearly going to take me awhile to get the hang of.

And I have not stopped things like going out to restaurants, but have slightly modified what I order, and eat light the rest of the day as well, seems to be working so far. I couldn't completely give up restaurants, that would be too sad.

Off to the shops to get some celery--tuna is one of my new best friends, but you can't make good tuna salad without lots of celery and onions.

I agree with you about the celere, but not so much on the onions! Blech! Anyway congrats on your weight loss! That's awesome!! I'm proud of you for still being able to go out to eat...it took me a while to get the courage up for that! lol Keep up the great work!!

Great job! I agree on the tuna salad - has to have celery, onions, and dill pickle relish for me. :) Being able to survive out to eat is a good lesson to learn early, it's not like you're going to avoid restaurants for the rest of your life...

First Blog--

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Well this is the first day of stage 2 of SP. I am very pleased I found the website--actually Kim found the website and pointed me here. It isn't a very nice day in the South of France, a disappointment as we usually have blue skies and sun.

I have decided to go to the open air market with the husband instead of just sending him with a list so I can check out a new butcher he found and see about some different fruits. We are stuck on bananas and apples at the moment and I can't wait for the summer fruit to come into season.

Yesterday, I gave the husband a Wii machine for his upcoming birthday--actually, I made him trade in his old machine and then let him spend the $ for the extras he needed for the new lmachine. So far, it looks like fun and maybe a new form of exercise too.

Going to dig out the umbrella and go to the market.

First day of Stage 2 here, it looks like it lasts for 6 weeks, I'll just do it one day at a time!

Congrats on getting the Wii. I hope that it helps you like it has helped me in losing weight. So far 25 lbs since I got it. I haven't been using it consistantly like I should else I think I would be standing here saying I lost more.

actually going out to the market is a great way to get some exercise as well! the Wii is great fun but I'm finding that I've started to see excercize opportunities that I've missed before. It's really kinda neat how stage two changes how you view the world. I'm in week six and will be moving on to stage three next week. if you need anything - you just tag me
