Well everyone I am back to try again. Third time's the charm right?

Since I last fell behind in my weight loss journey I have switched jobs and gotten off the medication that was causing my weight gain and the issues I was having losing weight. I think part of the reason I stopped last time was because I felt like with my medication I wasn't going to get anywhere anyway but I couldn't stop taking it.

So here I go again, right from the beginning. My goal is to lose 3 pounds a week to start (ambitious I know) and to exercise for ten minutes a day for the first month, then twenty minutes a day for the second month until I am exercising 45 minutes a day.

I am also attending school part-time and working full-time so I am hoping I'll be so busy that I won't have time to fall into old emotional eating habits.

My new job is great because I am off of work at real people times (530) and I get two weekend off a month so I am going to be able to do things like grocery shop and cook my own meals. Its pretty exciting.

If anyone out there has any advise please pass it along, I need all the help I can get.

Finally made it down to my first goal of being under 300 lbs! 299 to be exactly, it took me two weeks instead of one but at least I made it! My next goal is 275 lbs, and when I make it I'm going to buy myself this dress www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/buddin

Fell off the Wagon

Well, rather than loosing 2 lbs and getting below 300 for the first time in...ages; I fell of the bandwagon. I know where I went wrong, I fell into the trap of not having enough food available to bring to work so I was forced to eat out rather than eating healthier food items. I also let myself run out of fruit so now I'm suffering major fruit withdrawals.

Tomorrow is another day and next week is another week and I'm going to go for being below 300 lbs and try again. However until I can get to the grocery store...this are going to be a little sticky, but if making the choice to be healthy was easy more people would be healthy.

    emoticon Stay aware when you are grocery shopping - make a list and don't deviate from that list. Also, be sure you are not hungry when you go shopping - it really makes a difference! emoticon

    You can do it! Just start this week off new. I can relate to falling in to the same trap of not having the right food and having to eat out. I think at least you know what the situation is and can fix it. Wishing you an awesome week....start fresh!

Almost to goal # 1! Two more pounds down and I reach 299 lbs, which will make the first time I've been under 300 lbs in...probably over a year.

The question is...what to do to celebrate?

A Minor Victory!

So today, despite the fact that my visiting boss bought me a Cherry Coke (one of my weaknesses) I only drank a sip of it rather than finishing the whole bottle like I would have a month ago! Yay victory!
