The scale has started moving again. I am stepping up the cardio. By the end of the month I will step it up another notch because my daughter signed us up for a kick boxing class for 1 hr, 2x's a wk..
sssssttt. by this summer I WILL be hot!! LOL

I've been doing the same things diet and exercise wise . At least in terms of length of time for of exercise . My trainer always has me doing something different. My scale has not moved though for over a week. So I am a little discouraged . I know I am still getting benefits because at my last workout we went back to the original workout/ machines that I had started with and checked out how much more wt. I am able to handle, and my strength has increased a lot.... I know I won't quit but I have no patience so it's a bummer when the scale doesn't move. I walked through the mall yesterday and looked at all the skinny summer clothes ................Biiiig Sigh!! Just a few more months

For the first time in my life I can do push ups. My trainer started me doing them elevated in the squat cage on the bar gradually getting lower each time. Today he said let's just try them on the floor and see .....I didn't think I could do it but I squeezed out my 15 .....for 2 reps! then I was so stoked I did 20 on my 3rd rep!!... I feel really good about it . I couldn't do them at all when I was younger and now at 44 yrs old after about 11 wks of working out regularly I can do real mens' push ups ....YAY!!!

1 hr strength / wt training.....


none today but that's okay.....

So much for my trend of starting my blog with a compliment I got today...I didn't get any ...
I ate well today ...didn't give in to temptation even though there was some onion rings and chicken wings taunting me . I went to the gym and did 40 mins on the bike and worked up a good sweat
I'mjust gonna have to compliment myself - "you're getting there , keep up the good work!!"

I took my son to his first football practice of this season so I saw some people I didn't see since the season ended in Ocober. I heard that from 2 people today "You look've lost weight haven't you?" .....I guess I am starting a trend with my blogs starting each one with a compliment I got on that day. I guess it shouldn't matter much , but the compliments are good motivation. I am not doing this mainly for my health at this point . As strange as that sounds. Of course it factors in especially with almost all my excess wt. around the danger zone ( the middle ,surrounding the organs) . I have always been healthy ,don't even get colds and I have enough energy to do what I have to do....or it's probably more a matter of discipline. I do what I have to do if other people depend on me doing it. The thing is I have to give myself equal priority. That is what I am starting to do and that is as hard as any part of this. It isn't motivation , or sticking to a diet that is hard for me's putting myself first sometimes . With 5 kids, one of whom has a disability, 2 grandchildren , a fulltime job and a lazy ass husband there is always something somebody wants or needs me to do......Well, I need to do this too. Even if my #1 objective at this point is to look good! the rest automatically comes along with it ...judging by the compliments the past few days(& the scale & the mirror!!), I am getting there !!Yay me!!

Todays workout;
5 min warm up on stairmaster- ( I can usually do longer but that machine is the devil!!)
35mins on the stationary bike
10 min on the treadmill( just to finish up b/c I was getting numb bum on the bike)
