I've been thinking for a week that I gained 5 pounds on my vacation. Either I was so stressed I didn't actually know what I weighed, or I was so tired when I weighed in after vacation that the numbers didn't make sense, or I took it all off this week already (seems unlikely). So the logical conclusion is vacation was a break even proposition on the calories and that the snorkeling off set the G&Ts. Hooray! Double reinvigoration, once for the effects of an awesome vacation, doubled by the fact that I didn't really gain any pounds back. And now the forecast for the week is sun! Way to exercise!

DH and I had a wonderful week in the British Virgin Islands on a catamaran with some friends and their 20 month old baby girl. We went snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, and walked on the beach. It was beautiful! It was probably our best vacation in 17 years.


We dove the stern of the wreck of the Rhone, and then did two dives on Virgin Gorda. One was at George Dog, and one behind the east end of Seal Dog. Then we dove twice on the wild west wall at Jost Van Dycke. We saw sting rays, turtles, HUGE spiney lobster, and also the biggest pufferfish we have ever seen!

155.8 this morning, but I'm down again. I have a cold and DH & I are helping some friends sail overnight to Santa Cruz, which neither of us wants to do but we somehow got roped in. I really need to get better, especially with vacation in Tortola coming up next weekend. I'm kind of mad about the whole thing, and feeling a bit uncared for. Hopefully this trip won't be as bad as I am anticipating it will be, and I hope I won't get any sicker.

From 155 to 158 to 155 to 158....honestly this yo yo is getting old. I could fast for a couple days but I'd just put it on again as soon as I started eating. This is just frustrating and old. I'm going for a walk in the sun.

The party in Vegas was awesome, and I did enjoy the double takes of me in my dress ;-)

    It sounds like that might be water weight, possibly from sodium. See if tracking your sodium gets you out of the rut. It did for me! (It's under Nutrition tracker, "Add a nutrient.")

    Boy do I know how you feel, your numbers are my numbers and the yo yo is shared between us and so many others.

We just need to keep up the good work we are doing and the numbers will come down.

You can do it and you made such a good decision by going take a walk.
