Run #125 Thank goodness it's Friday!

I really need to get back to my 7 hour minimum of sleep each night. Today I woke up so tired. It wasn't that I didn't want to run, because I actually did; I just didn't want to get up. I thought about that extra 20 minutes sleep, and how good it would feel. Then I thought, "but if you just start moving everything will be fine." So I rolled my sorry butt out of bed, checked my work email while I tried to figure out which end was up, then went for a run. It was a short one, but it was ok. And I was glad I went.

Next week my in-laws arrive for a visit. I am not sure if I will be able to get my runs in while they are here, but it is only two. I'll try. I am going to claim I need a birthday run on my birthday. That will be hard to say no to emoticon

Last night I dreamed about waking up exhausted because I hadn't gotten enough sleep. Twisted. I guess I need to go to bed a little earlier, LOL! I got up and ran today because it was Wednesday, and on Wednesday's I run. It was a shorter run today--had a little trouble getting rolling and out of the boat, but it was a good run. Still feels good.

Run # 123 5K again

I ran 5 k again this morning. I did 5 min of warm up walking, then 5 min of slow running, and worked ou slowly building up my pace through my whole run. The last five minutes I slowed down some, then did 5 min of walking to cool off. It was a good run today. I acrually rather enjoyed it.

I got in 5K this morning, a little slower than usual, about 4.9 average instead of 5.2, but it was a good run.

I had a rough aikido night on Thursday an when I got home everything hurt. Everything still hurt on Friday and I was exhausted, so I settled for 800mg of ibuprofen and skipping my run. This turned out to be a good thing, because I was still exhausted and hurting on Saturday. It seems like I may have a pattern here of about 3 good weeks followed by a crash; it's not entirely clear yet. Anyway I got up feeling better this morning. I get dressed and went for a run, because it is Monday, and that is what I do on Monday. I thought briefly about taking another day off, but then since I was already dressed to run, I reminded myself it would feel good, and it was something I do for me, so I went. It was a nice run.
