Today I decided to try a 4 minute interval and see how it felt. It felt pretty good, and I ended up doing two of them. Then I did 2 3 minute intervals or running after that. So I did 14 minutes of running instead of 15. Breathing wise it felt pretty good, but the extra minute seems to tax the muscles and they don't recover as fast. I left the boat earlier since I woke up earlier, so I did a total of 35 minutes today, 21 walking and 14 running. Next week 4 minute intervals. I am starting to have some knee soreness after my run, but I am fine when I am running. I probably need to start back on some additional exercises to strenghten my quads and calves. Will monitor very closely as I don't want to hurt my knees.
