Sixth run

I didn't add any minutes today. I decided I would run for two minutes, and at the end of the two minute interval see if I felt up for adding another minute. I felt like I would have really been huffing and puffing, so I stayed with two minute intervals of running today. We will see how the week progresses.

Last week I could tell I was making progress between runs. This week I can't. I really don't know if I am ready to add another minute to my run interval or not. I may try and add it and see what happens and how I feel. Or I may try another day or two at this week's numbers. I don't want to increase too fast, but I don't want to underestimate myself. Hmm. What to do? Got the weekend to think about it anyway.

Heavy wet misty fog today, but less windy. Today seemed a little easier than Monday but hard to tell. Muscles seem to hurt less after each run and I seem to be starting to recover more quickly.

This was the start of week two of my "running" program. That's in quotes because it is still more walking than running, but I am slowly making progress. Went at 6 this morning to get it in before work. It was much chillier today, and overcast. The fog was really wet (and never burned off today.) I never took my fleece off. Then I decided I had time to walk to work so DH could have the truck today. Then I ended up walking home too. I'm tired.

    emoticon Make sure you drink water prior so that you are hydrated. and if you need to interval run/walk..better then running once and never doing it again because your too tired. You have taken action!!! Thats all you need the rest will fall into place. emoticon

Second run

Just back from run number 2. Had some muscles that didn't quite seem to have recovered from run number 1, but went anyway, and it seemed to be fine. I found I recovered quicker in my walking segments, and I think I was less breathless in my running segments. So far so good. Next run on Monday.
