It's been a couple of weeks since I have been able to use SP; since we are in between houses, my computer access is limited. I also have not been exercising as much as I normally do - when you are getting ready to move overseas everyone wants a piece of your time to see you and say goodbye. I was also ill for a few days, and to top it all off, I no longer have a scale - it is in transition to our next home. My clothes still seem to fit fine, but I have still been a little apprehensive. I am currently in NJ visiting my best friend, and I noticed she had a scale in her bathroom. So I did it...and yay for me! I actually DOWN another 1.5 lbs!
Even though I haven't been able to use my SP nutrition tracker, I must be making the right choices on my own. Even though I haven't been able to go to an actual gym, I am trying to incorporate more activity in to my every day (for example, spending quality time with my mom and niece by walking around all the malls and shopping!) I am currently in NJ visiting my best friend - she had to work today, so I got dressed and walked the 7 blocks down to the bay and took a leisurely stroll. It was so peaceful.
If I can make it through this month without ruining my progress, I'll know that I can make it through anything. It is so hard to stay on track when you are living at other peoples' houses and are subject to their choices and their routines. But I'm learning that even the smallest things can make the difference. :)

Okay, so the time has come. We have family in town this week, not leaving until Monday, 7/30. The movers come on that same Monday to start packing us up to leave. I'm going to be travelling a lot up and down the East Coast and my computer access will be limited - which means my time on SP will be limited as well. I am going to do my very best to stay on track. This morning I drove my fam to Starbucks for coffee and Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, but I did not order anything; instead, I came home and ate cereal. I've gone way over calories since they've come into town, but I am trying to make the best choices. Here's to hoping that I can still fit into that new bathing suit when the time comes!
So the point of the story - I won't be around much for the next month or so. Please don't think I'm ignoring you. I'll be checking back in once we get settled in Hawaii, mid-September. Hope the rest of your summer is great!

So today I hit the 15 pounds lost mark - time for another prize! My ultimate goal is to wear a bikini, and I know I will someday. But I only have eight pounds until I hit my goal weight - 125 lbs - and though my body is changing for the better, I am pretty sure that even at 125 lbs I won't feel bikini ready. I have a high percentage of body fat; just losing weight isn't going to do it, I really need to up my lean muscle mass. That is why this month I have challenged myself to do some form of toning everyday. MWF I do strength training, and TRSaSu I do pilates. Hopefully this will do the trick.
But still - I do feel a lot better about my body, and I want a new swimsuit!! So I found a super sexy one piece that I think I can wear with confidence (see picture.) I ordered it off Nordstroms.com and can't wait for it to come in! I'll let you know how it fits. :)

So I finally broke out of the plateau of 138 - not that I am complaining about the plateau. I very well could have gained weight, but I was able to maintain and I am very happy about that.
But it came as a great surprise to see 136.5 flash on the scale this morning! I couldn't believe it - I was hoping to lose a 1/2 pound, so a 1 and a 1/2 pound loss made me ecstatic. This week, I ate closer to my upper calorie range every day, instead of trying to stick to the lower end like I had been doing. Maybe I am at the point where I need to start eating MORE calories, which is fine by me!
Though I do cardio every day, I have not done any strength training in weeks. I don't know why I fell off that wagon, but starting today I am climbing back on board. I'm sure I am getting to the point where muscle will really make a difference. So after cycling today, I am starting week 1 of SP's Bikini Workout. Bring on the bikini's!

So I have been AWOL from SP since last Wednesday, I was out of town (went to Michigan) and it was the busiest six days of my life! We flew into Detroit and visited friends in Superior Township and St. Joseph, family in Niles, a christening in Kalamazoo, a wedding Berrien Springs. I think we spent more time on I-94 than in any one place. I went for a run on Saturday morning, but that was the only time I had to work out, and computer access was limited so I was unable to track my nutrition. I am weighing in tomorrow morning, and I am VERY scared!!
I also didn't get much sleep since we were constantly running from one place to another, so I am looking forward to getting back on track with my sleep schedule, too. Visiting is always fun, but I am SO glad to be home!
