Okay this is it.
We have made a decision.
We signed up on SparkPeople to get the weight off.
Tell the truth. That was your original reason. It may have changed to your purpose now.
Which is a more healthy reason.
But our original reason was we had tried every thing else and failed.

So okay this is it.
We have made a decision to purposefully live our life.
To be responsible for improving our health by reducing our weight.




WE CAN DO IT! LET'S GO SPARK 'UM! WATCH US!

    I have tried and failed many "diets" but starting last Februry with new digital scale and a challenge team have been very good for me. Once I claim a pound gone, they have not come back... I allow the one pound to bounce for water fluctuation and it just stays off and goes down very slowly, but does go down...I think this is my longest plateu nd I am getting impatient but also recognizing that my personal activity has decreased with the cold weather and closing our market gardens till spring... must get into a treadmill routine and elliptical will help too.

    That is a great attitude, and strengthening quote. We can we will. I have been on a slow down ward path. Watching my granddaughter has caused more stress for me, and other things as well. but I am going to get busy.

Does EVERY calorie count?

Isn't it awful that the little taste of whatever we are cooking on the stove counts? I mean we had to taste it to make sure the recipe came out good. Right? Honestly though how DO you keep track of all those calories on the tracker? I ask you? So what we are saying is we have to own that bite, too? We know. That may be why we are not losing. You think?

You mean we can't finish what is on our husbands' plates after dinner? I mean we were raised not to waste food. In America we were told children were starving we must clean our plates. We have to eat that last little bit off his plate. We measured what was on our plates. That's what counts right?

Are we keeping track of our calories for our health or vanity?

    I laughed and laughed as I red this.... yes, those count too... I have been so frustrated at times, I literally have a pebble Thai suck on when I m making Cookies for DH so I will not put cookie dough in my mouth!

    It is amazing how those little "tastes" can add up! I would much rather be healthy, tha worry about cleaning the plate. With portion control that isn't a problem! Only put one portion on your plate and you eat the right amount! What is on someone else's plate is their problem not yours! emoticon emoticon

  It is always hard to see food go to waste. I've learned to cook without tasting....not easy, but it can be done. Good luck!
