I'm still trekking!

I'm still doing the exercise thing. I ran/jogged 3.75 miles today. It's supposed to be my easy day, but yesterday I woke up too late and only finished 2.25 miles. I should be at 4.5 miles on my easy days and at least 5 for the cardio days. Anyway I'm in my own training world and have begun to tick off the weeks to my 3rd half marathon in three years. My personal goal of 5 running events is still coming along. Two down and three more to go! WOO HOO! emoticon

I just completed a mini goal to jog 3 miles in under 55 minutes. I have a two day streak of 3.25 miles in 49 minutes! My next goal is to jog 4 miles in less than an hour. My game face is on! emoticon

Finished 1st 10K of 2011

Sunday I finished my first 10K for 2011. I did the Capitol 10K in Austin and those hills kicked my tired body. I improved my time from last year, but I really should have trained more prior to the race doing a few hills several weeks before the race.
The Cap 10K is totally fun and I look forward to doing it again next year, but I will definitely adjust my training schedule. One race down and only four races to go to reach my goal emoticon

  


Spring Break Success

Well, I made it through our Spring Break and kept up with my fitness goals and calorie count. This is huge for me considering when I am at home for three or more days the calorie counts or exercise routines usually go out the window!
I spent a lot of time staying busy--gardening, hiking (went to Mt. Bonnel), and window shopping. That's the real key when I'm off from work for several days. Doing a variety of activities kept me off the couch and away from my TV. emoticon

This morning was a great morning! I put on a pair of pants this morning that are actually loose compared to 3 weeks ago emoticon I was doing my happy dance until I realized i needed to get to work!
