My Reward System (Repost + Progress)

As a motivational tool, I designed my own Reward System! Though I would like to reward myself for every pound, I figured every few is not too bad...I reward myself with things that I need or want (mostly want...okay, all are wants, lol.)

As an added bonus, I've also included rewards that are fitness related as "mini-rewards".

My Biggest Loser Weigh-Out Fast Approaching...

Okay, so on Thursday I weigh-out for my Biggest Loser Competition at my local gym. I have no idea who my competition may be, nor how much weight they've lost. That's okay though...I'm just trying to do MY absolute best.

I started out at 182lbs for my gym weigh-in. I'm hoping for 155lbs for my gym weigh-out! Last week at my Wednesday Weigh-In, I weighed 158lbs, so this weeks Wednesday Weigh-In should give me a preview of Thursday's results. As long as I don't weigh more than 158lbs I'll be happy! But 155lbs is what I'm aiming for. I'm getting a little nervous...don't know's just a silly little competition. Anywho...I'll keep you posted on my results.

P.S. Stay tuned...Thursday I will actually post before and now photos! I can't really say before and after because I have lots of work left to do. Hopefully I'll have the courage necessary! I'm cringing at the thought of posting those pics...but I know I need to do it!

Wednesday Weigh-Ins! (Updated Weekly)

I weigh-in on Wednesdays. Why Wednesday you ask? Well, I figured that Monday would be right after a weekend (I may or may not have sabotaged my efforts, lol). In addition, I rest on Sunday. Wednesday just seemed like a day in the middle of the week that would be perfect and accurate to reflect the work I've put in (or not).

I initially tried to weigh in at the same time every Wednesday...but ugh...realized that's not going to happen. I attempt to weigh-in whatever time on Wednesday I wake up. However, I figure just plain ol' Wednesday will suffice, lol.

*Note: I also weigh in on the first of each month to track my monthly loss (or gain...nevermind, not gain...think positive, think positive:)

January 3, 3009: Starting Weight: 182 lbs---Goal Weight: 145lbs

    You're doing so awesome!! You're going to have a great April. I'm hoping for at least 3-4 pounds this month. It's hard for me to expect more when there is not much to lose. And yes, the day of the weigh-in should not matter, though you should weigh in at roughly the same time, like right when you wake up after you use the bathroom. Any time else in the day, especially after you have eaten, is not a true reflection of your weight. And after a workout is bad too, I see people doing that at the gym.

April Goals!!!

APRIL GOALS! emoticon

My goals are similar to those of March...I'm just going to keep chipping away at this until I get it right! To date, I've lost nearly 14 lbs in the month of March (as of this morning 13.5lbs to be exact!)

A. LOSE 10 LBS emoticon

1.) 75-100 minutes of cardio 5-6 days per week
a. Broken up into five-20 minute intervals b/t strength training
b. Improve Cardio Daily: Intensity, Level, Speed, RPM, MPH, etc(small improvements)

2.) 1-15 minutes of various home exercise activities 3-6 times per week
a. Leg Exercises: Squats, Plie Squats, Leg Kicks, Leg Lifts, Lunges
b. Salsa Exercise Video
c. Dancehall Freestyle Dancing with Trampoline
d. Stationary Cycle
e. Stair Stepper
f, Jump Rope
g. Resistance Bands

3.) Concentrate on Strength Training Routine
a. Proper form
b. Attempt weight increase weekly
c. Journal Gains/Improvements
d. Proper breathing
e. Concentrate on core during all exercises


1.) Preplan Meals Weekly
a. Prepare, Package and Freeze Meals
b. Ration Snacks in Appropriate Sizes

2.) 1200-1700 Calories Per Day Limit (Target: b/t 1400-1500)
a. Count calories prior to eating daily
b. Limit/reduce sodium intake

3.) Increase Protein Intake
a. Consume Protein Shakes

4.) Daily Vitamins/Supplements

5.) Log onto Sparkpeople Daily
a. Log on for Sparkpoints 7 days per week
b. Log Strength Training and Cardio Daily
