Getting back on the wagon..

I feel like I have lost my motivation emoticon

I have had a lot going on lately and I am regretting not fitting in my workouts or logging my food. Shortly after the BIG move to Tennessee and getting settled into my new job, I went to Ireland for 2 weeks. It was an amazing trip!

BUT it threw me off my routine. So I have to suck it up and get back on it! I know its that first step I have to take and stick with it. I know its easier said than done but I did it once, I can do it again!

I have family visiting for the summer and I need to work out a schedule to fit a workout in. It makes it hard when you want to spend as much time with them as possible. One happens to be my 12 year old daughter who is not an active person. So I am trying to find activities she likes to do that can be beneficial as a workout for me and fun for her as well. She doesnt enjoy cycling anymore emoticon . She used to do 15 miles easy! But as she grows up..she just wants to sit around. I know its a phase, my oldest was the same way. If anyone has suggestions, I am open emoticon

I am training for the Color Run in Knoxville. Its in October and I know I have plenty of time but thats what makes it harder..I figure I can run tomorrow or the next day but never Today.

I can do this..I can get back into it!!

I brought my walking shoes to work today, I will go walking at lunch emoticon

Sometimes writting down your plans makes it easier to get motivated to do them.

I figure on this healthy lifestyle journey we ALL hit bumps in the road (heck, I've wandered off the road ENTIRELY before!). The IMPORTANT thing is that you pick yourself back up and continue to head in the right direction. It sounds like that is EXACTLY what you're doing. Know there are lots of us right alongside you, cheering you on!

Making a BIG move!

Saturday, February 22, 2014

So my husband and I are finally going to do it..we're going to move to Tennessee! emoticon

We were always talking about it but unsure we were ready for that move. Well after seeing Michigan in 2 feet of snow..we decided.."Yup"..the time is now! I love TN and love the beauty of the mountains. My dad lives there and I make every excuse to go visit him lol. I already have job interviews lined up the 1st week of March, we have already been pre-approved for a mortgage, and we have money saved up in case we come across any emergencies.

Its a good sign that everything is going smoothly emoticon My sister & step-mom have always told me that if it comes easy..its meant to be. Of course that doesn't pertain to weight loss lol

We are moving to the Knoxville area and my husband will graduate from WMU in April and will have his BA, he is finding more job offers in TN than he is finding in MI. I am just surprised that I have interviews already and I just applied at job last week!

I already looked into gyms in the area and there is a Planet Fitness close by and running/cycling trails emoticon

Looks like I may be moving before my husband to get settled in before he graduates but we are prepared for that. Wish us luck on our new journey together!

It looks like the two of you know what you want, have a plan in place and have decided to move. I've been to Tennessee quite a bit since I have family down by Memphis. Plus some friends are from round that way and most of the time I find the weather great whenever I have visited. Great news about the employment situation there as well~

I think this is wonderful! You have all your ducks in a row. You've planned this out well and you want to move so do it!

As to things that are easy that are meant to be....I don't disagree with this at all. The only problem with this is that people feel if they have things rough it is wrong. Not true at all. It is the problems that we do NOT generate that helps us grow. So, when it gets rough, as it will be eventually, hang in there, learn your lessons of Love by letting go of fear and continue on.

No wonder you are excited. The Smokey Mountains is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever been to. I'd love to live there. Congrats & best wishes on your move.

Wow, that's big news, hope all goes well for your family. I have a friend who's a pastor down in Knoxville but I've never been there. I have been to Memphis and really enjoyed my time there, so I'm sure Knoxville is a nice area as well. And just think of all the exercise you'll get moving your stuff!

You will love it! And you will be happy to be closer to your dad. I moved to the mountains in Georgia last year (much to my children's chagrin). Greatest thing I have ever done for myself! Will keep you in my prayers for everything to keep on track for you!

Busy times..

Tuesday, December 24, 2013

The Holidays are extremely busy for me and I'm sure everyone else too. Its been hard to fit time to go get a workout in emoticon

I thought I would have time last night but the kids wanted to go sledding. BUT sledding is a workout lol Going down that big hill is so fun..but the climb on ice and snow can be quite the workout lol. My legs are feeling it today emoticon

So when you feel you cant go to the gym because the kids want to do something fun..make it your workout! Times are busy with family but playing a physical game like the Wii or sledding will make up for it emoticon

I am just happy to have the energy to keep up with them while they are home for the Holidays! And I have Sparkpeople to thank because it is my inspiration and motivation emoticon

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year emoticon
