2012 Will be known as the year of ONEderland for me

I have been down this road so often. My highest weight was 240.75 on 10/8/1998. That was when I joined TOPS. I have never gone over that amount, but, I could never get past the 200 and stay out of it. I went back over all of my paperwork, yes, I have every year saved of my weekly weigh in's since 1998. Oh I have flirted with it a time or two or three. I made it to 194.50 in 2008, became pretty sick, and well that was that. But I never gave up and this year I just QUIT worrying about it. i had too much else on my mind that was critical, but, I still weighed in every week and so just


When my weigh in was this past week and I knew I had really had a good week, I could not wait to weigh in :


I left TOPS in 2010 and formed my own group in my home. We call ourselves the Weight Loss Warriors WLW so we would have accountability. Between WLW and SPARKS I am on the right track.
So in the words of Jimmy Buffett " You don't have to work it all out, you just need a place to start and if it never worked before, try it just once more as that is what your heart is for" emoticon

4/1/2012 UPDATE I am so excited to break the 200 number. Now I will see this everytime I log in to remind myself of that.
I will stay focused and driven, and let nothing discourage or distract me.
And when all else fails, Breathe in , Breathe out. and move on. And I will keep moving in the right direction.

Feb 2011 Goals

I lost 4lbs in January. 1 lb short of my goal. This month I will shoot for 4 and hope for 5 !
I will continue with the 10 min streak of exercise as I now see it becoming 30 and 45 min total in a day. Treadmill is waiting if I do not do it before I come home!!
Water still continues to be a stumbling block and not sure why.
so
10 min exercise streak
8 glasses of water at least 6 days a week
lose min 4 lbs.

Time to re evaluate how to reach my goals in 2011

So I am moving in the right direction for the first time in a long time as it shows in the graph from sparks:


So why would I change things? I had a eye opening visit with my Dr. last week as well as a nutritionist. I was shocked to be told I was really at a diabetic stage in my life and was given meds and a chart of my blood work. I do not want to be diabetic. I want to be lean and mean in 2011. I have a precious, now 1 year old granddaughter that is the light of my life and has given me new reasons to be healthy.


so when I look at this picture I know I should see a happy person with a beautiful being that is a gift from God. But, when I am low in spirits, all I see is how big I am. That stops now.

So I have been put on a diet that is carb counting. They tweaked what my diet says on sparks to fit a diabetic lifestyle. meaning lower carbs and calories. they were so impressed with my food diary that I brought to them and praised Sparkpeople. So for that I give thanks. Stay tuned for a new me in 2011!

    Good luck with getting the diabetes under control. emoticon I've been on SP for one year and I've been working with a nutritionist for the last several months. My blood sugars are in the normal range now and I'm going back to the doctor in December to see what my A1C is. I'm so hoping he'll let me cut back on some of my meds!Following the eating plan really works!!

This is what was on my profile. I have been doing so bad that I had to take it off so I would not read it anymore. But I will not get rid of it because I still believe in myself and it will happen.
