W3D4 of 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Program

Okay, I found out today that I was doing the program a bit wrong. For today it was walk 3 minutes and jog 2 minutes = 5 minute cycles. Do this 6 times. 5x6=30. Well, I just noticed today that the total time is 36 minutes. I didn't realize it accounts for warm up and/or cool down periods. Here I have been doing the full time as part of the cycles. So tonight I actually did 7 cycles and walked the remaining one minute. I need to read and pay attention a bit more! The good news is that I was doing more rather than less. I am getting closer to that 3.1 miles. I made 2.8 in the 36 minutes tonight. Feels good.

Well, today was not what I had hoped. I was stuck at home trying to get some work done with my "sick" daughter. Daycare didn't want her back for 24 hours due to her puking yesterday morning. She was fine the rest of the day, until later I had to change 2 leaky, messy diapers. So decided she must have some tummy bug and she should stay home. The upside to this was that we walked to kindergarten this morning, ate breakfast together, and then walked home again. We also found some time to go to the park. I didn't get a "full day" in of actual work, but more than I thought I would. After dinner tonight, we went outside as a family to play soccer and enjoy a nice evening.

Day 7 of Stress Busting Challenge and W2D3 of 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Program

Today was a great day!! Felt great. Took my kids to school and ate breakfast with them. Dropped them off where they needed to go. Went to work. Had a fun day at work chatting with a co-worker and having lunch with the client. Hubby made dinner and cleaned up afterward!!! XOXOXO on that one. Started packing the kids things and getting the youngest ready for bed. Went out for my walk/jog. Got back to help pack some more and listen to my son read a book before bed. I then emailed my son's teacher to say hi and let her know that I am willing to help out as needed and available. I will be getting to bed within an hour or two so that I get enough sleep tonight. Tomorrow's another fun day!
