I'm thinking about getting some portion control containers and was wondering if any of you use them and have they helped you lose weight.
I love having my meals already ready. Sitting in the refrigerator waiting on me. I saw that "21 day fix" commercial this morning. So that is why I'm thinking about getting something. ... But I want like a weeks worth.
I would do really good with one of those programs where the food is sent to your home. But I can't afford that.
so do any of you use portion control containers? If so what kind? And are they helping you?

Can we do that? Can we have nesting without being pregnant? Or am I avoiding what I should be doing by doing something else? .....hmmm......
I should be painting the trim in the hallway, but instead I'm cleaning out my kitchen cabinets. Oh they need it, so it's not like I'm just trying to fill my time. But I feel the need to clean them out.
After I straightened up the living room last night, then dusted (at 10) I started working on the cabinets till 11:30 (had to go get kiddo from work). Then jumped back on it this morning. I now have 3 empty shelves! ... and a clothes basket full of glasses that haven't been used in over a year, some NEVER! I had spices and tea that had expired in 2010!!!! Can we say out of sight out of mind??? ... so I might have more than 3 shelves empty now. LOL!
But I should be painting. The cat's scratch tree is laying in the floor (It's the kind that goes from floor to ceiling). The 6 foot ladder is in the foyer. The drop cloth is in the middle of the hall floor. The paint brushes are in plastic bags on the table. I have everything out. There's even the first coat of paint on the trim. So why am I not finishing up that????? wish I had the answers to how my brain works, then maybe I would be able to understand why I do what I do.
And maybe even figure out why my weight is going up, then down, then up again. It isn't going over my start weight, but close. I'll swing a pound a two either way every day. Today I'm down from yesterday. Yesterday I was up from the day before. GRRRRR!!!!! Maybe I should just stay off the scale. haha!!
Oh well I guess I need to get back to my messes. I'll probably finish up the kitchen, it's kind of a mess now. Hope you are having a wonderful fun filled day!

Today I went with the hubs to Cheddar's Casual Cafe to celebrate his grandmothers 96 birthday. I know! 96 years old and still giving out orders and going out to eat! I hope I'm that way when I'm 96.
So anyways, I was a little concerned about their food and what I would eat, if anything. So I went online to see what was on their menu. A whole lot of fattening stuff with out the calories listed. But I saw a Vegetable plate. A salad or soup, and 4 side dishes. ... but what kind of side dishes ..... "Mac & Cheese, Steamed Fresh Broccoli, Buttered Off-the-cob Corn, Sweet Baby Carrots, Freshly Made Coleslaw, French Fries, Idaho Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli Cheese Casserole, Southern Green Beans, Homemade Red Beans & Rice, Fresh Apple & Yogurt Medley."
So I got the salad with NO Ddressing, steamed broccoli, baby carrots, red beans and rice and apple & yogurt. The salad was big enough for a meal, it was probably a good 4 cups of lettuce plus tomatoes and shredded carrots. Then they brought out the veggie plate. OH MY GOODNESS!! It was enough for 2 people!! And so very good! the broccoli was steamed just a bit too long, but it still had a good flavor to it.
Hubby got the chicken tenders and french fries. Which he couldn't eat all of so it came home with all of the veggies!
So tonight I made chicken and cheese quesadillas for him and the kids and I had the rest of my veggies plus his fries! .... and now I'm stuffed again! haha!!
I could find the calories for their food so I had to use other places food, so my calorie count is probably off. I figured my dish was only 479 for all of it. .. not counting the fries. Which isn't bad.
I was really surprised that they had something like that. Just about every place you go to there is meat on everything. So I was able to keep my semi-vegan for another day. ... oh and I think I've lost more weight than I thought. Scale is showing a difference from yesterday! I might be close to a 5 pound loss. ... and I had cookies last night and my calories are staying between 1200 and 1500. I'll give a day or two before I do an official weigh in.
