Here in the south our weather goes a little crazy sometimes. .... Like Sunday. We started off with rain, a lot of it, then it changed over to sleet. ... but only on some streets, some were still getting thunder and lighting. (which was really cool!) Then we had freezing rain. And then snow. This happened in about 5 hours.
We got 2.75 inches of precipitation. But what is really on the ground is a 4 inch thick ice sheet covered by a dusting of snow. And for this storm, they didn't salt the roads. They did for the other ones that never happened. So our roads are like crap.
Monday morning we lost power for 7 hours and all I wanted was some hot tea! (why does that happen? The one thing you want the most is the one thing that you can't have?)
Hubby's little truck doesn't drive very well on it. So he stayed home .... for two days!! So my eating and exercise has gotten all messed up AGAIN!!
So today I will start eating right and pedaling. Get that scale moving again!
And the craziness of all of this ... Sunday's high temp was 61, the low was 31. Monday's high was 30, low 15. Tuesday high was 31, low 14. Today's high will be in the upper 40's. .... and each day gets warmer after that.

So I'm back to trying to lose weight ..... again. I weigh more now than when I joined sparks. geesh!!
This week I started writing down everything I put in my mouth on a notepad and on sparks. And I weigh and measure EVERYTHING!!! So far this week, I've lost 3 pounds in 4 days. (I'm staying between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.) .... I guess my body was ready to lose some jiggle. And I'm using my exercise bike for 45 minutes a day. ..... But I'm just barely getting over 5500 steps.
So ..... I'm trying to think of ways to move more without leaving the house.
I turn to the trusty internet ....... yeah not much help there. I'm already doing most of what it says. ... and what I'm not doing is outside stuff.
But one thing that kind of stuck out was setting my computer's alarm to go off every hour and get up and walk around for 10 minutes. I have a long hall way. .... what if I walked down it a couple times a day? How many extra steps would that be? So I walked it to see how many steps it is. .... 29, down and back. So if I did that 20 times that would be an extra 580 steps. .... I can walked it 5 times in a minute ..... so 20 times would take me 4 minutes. ..... and lets say I did that 3 times, that would be an extra 1740 steps .... and less than 15 minutes of my time. (it was kind of funny, my dog thought I was going somewhere so she was walking with me.)
...... I think I'm going to try that on days when I know I'm staying home. When I have errands to do, it's not hard to get my steps in and then some. I do all of those wonderful things the internet says to do. Some days my errands add up to over 5500 steps!
Of course I could always just add more time to my exercise bike ..... but my bottom would rather I didn't! LOL! Still haven't gotten a big bottom seat for it. .... Maybe I should get one of those instead of a new video game .... would make my bottom happy.

got on my exercise bike again today! I think that's 3, maybe 4 days in a roll!
Last Friday I went to the docs and they told me I can do anything that I want to do. That there is no indication that my aneurysm will rupture. They're saying because it's still very small, that whatever I do won't harm it.
So now I don't have an excuse not to exercise and I can waste the time pedaling by play Candy Crush! which actually does help with the boredom of not moving.
My headaches are lessening so maybe I will be able to start moving more and doing more and get rid of all of this soft jiggly stuff that shakes when I brush my teeth, and sits on my thighs, .......
