Fair Time Temptations

It's that time of year again when food vendors are everywhere. Pronto Pups, Elephant Ears, Funnel Cakes, Kettle Korn, etc. etc. etc. and, of course, everything is deep fried. emoticon emoticon We attended a Gold Miners Jubilee in the park yesterday surrounded by food vendors. I succumbed to a frozen strawberry lemonade which turned out to be just ok. I think the best defense is to eat a healthy meal or snack before attending these events. I could also choose to eat lightly for the rest of the week if I wanted to indulge. Since I have acid reflux issues, it is easier for me to say no to the deep fried foods. All in all, I guess temptations are everywhere and the important thing is to have a plan in place to deal with them. emoticon emoticon

    you have smart plans in place funny after you have not eaten fried greasy fattening food for a time the thought just make me nauseous . Hopefully if you keep searching you will find something good to eat. keep walking at least that is good for you. enjoy the fair in moderation

  Pronto pups????? I try to stay away from fried food too-due to acid reflux-not to mention the weight gain. The smells at fairs and carnivals should be outlawed(LOL) Temptation!!!!!!!!

Breaking up with my scale

So, I think I've been spending too much time with my scale. I need to let go of this painful relationship. It is a daily emotional roller coaster ride. Instead, I will embrace healthy food choices and consistent exercise. I will visit weekly per my challenge agreement but I will bid farewell to a daily encounter. emoticon emoticon

A TCBY treat was calling my name loud & clear today. I was driving home after an upsetting experience (related to my post traumatic stress disorder) this afternoon when I started thinking about how much I would love to indulge in a Cappuccino Chiller.     It is of course good to choose healthy over lots of sugar. However, remember to 'allow' for indulgences from time-to-time. Think controlled, small and only at certain planned intervals. If you can't control your choices yet, then of course, wait. emoticon
