I feel sooooo good today, well so far anyway . I decided last night that I would start walking, yes I said walking. I actually got up early today, got dressed, got my iPhone ready to listen to music, gathered the trash, and out the door I went. Emptied the trash and was on my way down the block. Walked for about 17 min and when I got back home I felt so invigorated . Guess what THEY have been saying all along about the 'E' word is coming to soak into my stubborn head. I know, it was a short walk, but, hey I am getting started on the new me. The plan here is to increase the time/distance each week then increase the number of days/week that I go for the invigorating 'E' stuff.
After the return, showered then decided on another first in years. That is having an actual breakfast. Fixed myself a scrambled egg and hash-browns...all measured of course. I even, get this now, sat a place at the dining room table and ate my breakfast. WHOA!!! cudos to me. I started sitting at the table yesterday for lunch & dinner.
Speaking of yesterday, I received my food scale just in time to prepare my fish tacos, yummmmy! I really wasn't that thrilled about eating at the table away from any entertainment during my meal, but, guess I will just have to suck it up and change my habits.
I'm going to change my goals a bit now. Here is my plan: 1. Continue to eat at the table, of course. 2. Go for a walk every Thursday morning (weather & medical condition permitting) and each week increase the time on my walk by 5 min. 3. Daily 'E' with a video. Does that sound like realistic goals?
To finish out my day today I will go to the Spark Recipe site and plan some meals. Probably make my own recipes to fit with what I have on hand at the moment. Need to rack up some Spark points too.
