It's a dark and gloomy day but I've found the Mediterranean Way! It's a newish team here that professes eating similar to the sonoma Diet which I was successful on a few years back. I hope this works and I intend to attempt to make it work! Notice I said attempt!
Why do fat or overweight people lose weight only to gain it back and then some? If I could answer that question, I could be a millionaire!
This morning I read the Best of Spark People Daily, March 30, where a woman had lost considerable weight and it was very motivating. When I went to her page, she had gained some back due to the birth of twins but was trying again to lose. I believe she will and hope she will be motivated to return in earnest. After all, I am still here having stuck it out!
Anyway, When you are going to diet, you need to pick a way to lose that you can live with. I've learned these things.
1. I hate tracking my food.
2. I hate counting points.
3. I think rules are meant to be broken.
When I think about those 3 things, I should not be on a diet that attempts to make me follow the rules like writing it down everyday. With the Sonoma Diet, I didn't have to do that. I learned what foods to eat more of and how to segment them on the plate. I learned about portions and how to cook in a healthy fashion and I liked the food! So why did I quit? I was successful, having lost 18 lbs. I quit because it was taking too long and I thought I could do it myself. If there is one thing I need to learn it is to stick to it!!!!!!!!!! Stick it out!!!! Have a binge but then go right back to it. I am back to say I want to do this and I will give it another go!
