Well today I got a shot of cartilage/synovial fluid substitute in my knee. Hopefully that will alleviate some of the pain that I've been having going down stairs and working out. This might help me intensify some of my workouts. Frustration level is still a little high, but excited about this new change. They said there were no restrictions, so I can still workout today. Woo hoo.

three hours later.. omygosh.. this shot is heaven. I went up and down the stairs, did my cardio and my knee feels absolutely WONDERFUL. I want to go back to the doctor and get the other knee shot up. It's like crack cocaine for the knee (not that I would really truly know what crack does to you).... it's so exciting.

So I know the whole when you get started, you are adding muscle weight and it weighs more than fat, so you shouldn't let the scale be your guide. Well, I've barely lost any inches and the scale has gone down less than 6 lbs in a month. I was so frustrated yesterday I went home CRYING after my workout. I'm eating better now than I ever have, restricting my intake to 1400 which is a nice conservative number. I'm actually starting to wonder if it's more an underlying health issue than anything. I'm just disgusted.

    I know this is a few days after your post, but you said something about your monthly visitor in a subsequent post. I blame the 2 lb gain on that! Keep at it! It will come off!

    Yep, I've cut down my calories only 500 from my RMR calorie count, so I haven't been extreme. I burn anywhere from 300-600 calories per day with exercise, either weight lifting or cardio and I do have at least one day of rest from working out. The scale went up 2 lbs today and I haven't cheated. So ... yeah.. not sure. emoticon

  I dont know how much you weigh but are you actually eating enough calories? Not eating enough calories can totally sabatoge your diet too! Especially if you are working out - you need to replenish your muscles or else they will burn the calories you eat but hold on to the fat you have now to survive which equals no loss or very slow loss. Just an Idea. Good luck.

    Give it some time, you will get there! In my first month I lost barely a pound. Now I am down 16 lbs and lost numerous inches from everywhere. Just keep at it!
