This is my new goal! It should be easily attainable as long as I am consistent!

To reach my goal I need to:

1) Track before I eat. (That should be simple. My laptop is usually sitting on the kitchen table.)
2) Keep up an hour of exercise per day, but strive for two.
a)stationary Bike
b) Continue Wii challenges
3) Stay involved in the Sparkteams that i enjoy, to make sure I am logging in everyday.
a)Scrapbooker's Delight
b)Digital Sparks
c)Wii Fit Challenge
4) Review these steps and start weighing in once a week.

Day One - No Alcohol

Day one with no alcohol went well. My husband was very supportive. Neither of us had a beer with dinner. I decided that at the end of this week, I'll go get my hair done as a reward! Plus, I almost got in two hours of cardio!
I'll have to come up with a good reward for him also because he has been soooo supportive lately!
We've been moving huge rocks in our backyard to the perimeter of the yard in anticipation of putting in grass soon. My arms are so sore! These are huge rocks!

Reducing Empty Calories

It's that time again. I've been exercising regularly for a few weeks and now I need to cut the empty calories out of my diet. My husband and I are both in agreement that the best way to do that is to cut out alcohol. It should be a simple enough process but we both enjoy having a couple of drinks in the evening, especially sampling all the different types of beer there are out there. I'm afraid it's going to be harder than it seems, but he won't be here in the evenings part of this week so we both decided this is a good week to start. I'd like to see what happens if I continue the exercise and only cut out alcohol next week. After that, I'll check out my nutrition tracker and see what else I can change.

Naps

I'm still feeling the after-effects of taking a nap yesterday! Naps really mess up my day. I usually lay down with my two little ones for about 10 minutes, just enough time to get them to sleep. Then, I get up eat my lunch and get in my exercise and whatever else I want to do while it's quiet. When I nap though, I get none of those things done and I feel bad, physically and mentally. I think it's all mainly mental. If I don't get things done that I wanted to do, then my head starts to hurt, everything feels rushed and I still feel tired. This morning I still feel tired, but I went to sleep at a decnt hour last night, so I'm blaming it on yesterday's nap. Hopefully, I can get them to sleep today and then get my stuff done, so I get back on track!

Points = Money

On one of the Sparkteams, it was suggested that at the end of the day we give ourselves a penny for every sparkpoint we have. I love the idea! I'm not great about keeping cash or change around and it's like pulling teeth getting it from my husband sometimes. But I'm going to see how many points I earned at the end of the month and, using the same principle, buy something for myself that is not more than that amount. It will be my Sparkpeople gift! emoticon
