Heart Rate Monitor Ordered

I ordered the heart rate monitor today. I'm still going to concentrate on steps more than anything but I'd like to know, when I do get in my 30-60 min of exercise, how hard I'm actually working.

I hit 15,000 steps for the 7th day in a row! That's the big day for me! Seven days in a row always makes it feel like it's something that I can stick with well. (I think it's because it means that I made it through one weekend as well as the week days!)

Tomorrows Goals:

Another 15,000 steps
5 servings of fruits and veggies

    I'm excited for you! I love my monitor! It lets me enter my age and weight so it can tell me just how many calories I am actually burning. BTW sparkpeople estimates are almost dead on! FYI
Yay for you! I get my fitbit one this week hopefully and can start counting steps.

Day 6!

I did it again! It was much harder today for some reason. I really just wanted to sit down for a while. It seemed to take forever to get my steps but I got them!

Tomorrow will be back to our normal busy day. I'm hoping to get up a little earlier than normal so I can get some of the steps done in the morning.

I'm also going to order a heart rate monitor. I know I'm going to be shocked when I realize how much more I need to apply myself to my workouts. I've been taking it kind of easy just trying to get myself back into a routine because I know it will be easier for me to build up my intensity as I go along. It will make it a change - something new and different.

Day 5

Wow! I think I might actually be on a streak! 15,000 steps/day for the last 5 days! After realizing that, I decided to see how many days in a row I had tracked my food - 26 days! I actually have a real streak and I've almost hit one month on that streak!

Tomorrow we're going out of town - just for the day, though. It's so nice to have a semi scheduled life. I like routines but I always have to give myself room to change things because I like spontaneity. As soon as we have a good set routine, I'm ready to change it. I like change as much as routine! That's a good thing though. It works very well for exercise and cooking.

Well that went slightly off track, but it's a great reminder that I'd like to stay on track in other areas.

Tomorrow, I'm going to go check out the January Jumpstart challenge. I did it last year and loved it! For some reason, I forgot about it this year but I's like to start it again. Better late than never!

Tomorrow's Goals:

15,000 steps
Track food
Try for 5 servings of fruits and veggies
