Sleep, Tracking, and Exercise

I'm finally getting my sleep back to normal since DH left and my Dad is recovering with us. Dad is staying in my room because I wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. I was staying in the kids room but that got to be too much so I started sleeping on the couch. Last night ALL 3 of my kiddos joined me on he couch! I slept for a couple of hours after they woke up so I feel much better today.
I was so excited to come home and start tracking all of my food but then I haven't sat down and done it! DD uses my laptop for her school work because her computer is down and my Dad uses it to study his Spanish and since they are both doing very good things with it, I hate to kick them off just to enter my food and exercise! Now Dad is napping and the kids are outside so I stopped everything to take advantage!

I'm going to enter as much as I can remember from the last few days! The exercise was fairly easy to remember. I have a challenge with a friend so we text our minutes and what we have been doing every day. The goal is to have the most exercise minutes at the end of the week!
Tomorrow, we are taking my Dad back home. He will still have 4 more weeks of recovery but he is doing great. He just has to remember not to lift his left arm above his head for the next few weeks.

Goals for today:
2 hours of exercise - Steps, Gazelle, and Bike
DD's Test
Laundry folded and up
Vacuum and Mop
5 minute straighten in each room
Pack for the weekend
Pack one more box to prep for summer move

So Nice to be Home

It's so nice to be home! I missed high speed internet access and routines! We've never had perfect routines but everything flows so much better at home.

My Dad is recovering well. DD is doing well in school. We're eating healthy, getting exercise and trying to stay relaxed. Dad wants to go home in a couple of weeks but I'm not sure we can go with him so soon and he's expecting us to be there. We've missed too many obligations at home lately. I'm so torn! I would never leave him alone, but his sister will be there with him. I'll have to think this through some more and, in the meantime, I'll take advantage of two weeks at home!

Dad's Back!

We had one of those crazy, busy weeks again. We went to my Mom's while DH was out of town. I thought it would be good to spend the week with her and get ready for Easter. We were busy but I managed to stick to my plan most of the week and get in some exercise. Then,we had another one of those unexpected things that knocks you right out of whack!

My Dad went in for his final test in a series of tests on his heart and brain, The doctor expected this test to be fine since everything else had been absolutely perfect. He was healthy in every way that they tested him. It was beginning to look like his accident was just that, an accident.. a fluke.

The final test was to cut open his throat and run a wire to his heart and stimulate the different sections of his heart. He did fine on the upper part but had a heart attack when they tested the lower part. They brought him back and then did it again! Just to be sure because all the other tests were good. He had a heart attack the second time also. So they kept him in the hospital and did an MRI that evening. Then they scheduled him for a defibrillator/pacemaker on Saturday. We were able to pick him up on Sunday and he is here with us now. He has to recover for the next few weeks, so I get the 'fun' job of keeping a VERY active man inactive for the next couple of weeks!

It's nice to be back home and have a schedule and real internet access again. We're getting things worked out slowly and I finally convinced Dad that he CAN take a break for 2 weeks!

Goals for tomorrow

Once I'm back into exercise, I do not like to miss it! Today I'm missing it. We travelled most of the day and then visited when we got here. I have plans for exercise in the morning but my body is reminding me now that I missed exercise today and it is not happy. My calves are sore from the long ride in the car with little movement so they've stiffened up and my stomach just hurts. It never seems to work right without some exercise. I'll get back to it in the morning.

Goals for tomorrow:

1) Exercise
2) Log in to SP for my motivation and update my food tracker!
3) DD's school work
4) Help Mom
5) Drink plenty of water!
6) Try to scrapbook at least one page!
