Dad's Here! :)

My Dad's here now. He'll be staying with us for a few days. He has to go back and have a few more tests. They will not allow him to drive until everything is figured out (which is a good thing).
We were behind on a few things with DD's school work with everything else happening, so we spent the day catching up. I didn't get any exercise in today, which is kind of sad and, I realized, really messes with my eating habits. I can usually eat better when I've done all of my cardio. I did fine on the fruits and veggies, just added some extra sweets that I probably should have left out. I'm ging to try to focus on exercise tomorrow but I'll have to see how everything goes with Dad.

Wow! Busy Day!

It was a crazy day. I soon as I sat down with my coffee this morning I received a phone call that my dad had been in an accident and was in the hospital. He couldn't remember where he was, where he was going, why he was on the road or where he worked!
He was physically okay. My brother stayed with him at the hospital. He has to go to a neurologist tomorrow. So we'll find out more then.
Between dealing with phone calls and kids, I somehow managed to get the house back in shape to show again.
We showed the house this afternoon and had a very positive response. Maybe, well get some good news from the doctor and the agent this week!
Too much chocolate, not enough exercise. I was not as good today as I should have been but I did manage to skip the coke I really wanted!

    I'm glad your Dad wasn't seriously injuried in the accident. Hope you get good news from the doctor.

January Jumpstart Challenge is Complete!

I finished the challenge today!

I loved it and look forward to continuing the whole challenge through February also!

I want to be able to do each video, especially the core video, on the advanced level. I think that will make a great goal for the end of March. (I have to geive myself that long to hold a plank in the proper position.)

It's been a great start to the new year. I'm looking forward to the next 11, even better, months!

Grocery Day!

I love grocery shopping day! Meals are planned out for the next 2 weeks!

I went a little off track over the weekend. I thought I would do well since we weren't actually going out of town, but we went to a party on Saturday night (and I overindulged a bit). It was great!

Sunday was church school for DD and then church and then a scrapbooking party that was way more interesting than I expected! We stayed there for about 5 hours - ate, drank and actually put together a couple of pages!
Sooo, I didn't get much done in the way of exercising or tracking this weekend. I had no idea what to expect, but it was great fun and very relaxing which is always a plus!
Today, was almost back to normal. The kids didn't sleep well last night, which means I didn't sleep well. I ended up putting one of them in bed with us and woke up again a couple of hours later to a warm wet sensation. Apparently, DD was very comfortable in our bed! I had to wake her up again also to move her and get everything cleaned up. We finally got back to sleep and the alarm went off about an hour later.
DH told me to stay in bed but I had to get some stuff together before he left so I just couldn't do it.
Tonight, I'll sleep well! Even if the kids wake up, I'll probably sleep right through it. We're showing the house again tomorrow, so I've got a lot to do!

1 Hour of Cardio

A few months ago, I would have considered this a great day! Today, I'm a tiny bit disapointed in myself. I only did an hour of cardio (and it was easy cardio) and, while I've tracked everything, it was all after the fact with little emphasis on the fruits and veggies.

Thankfully, I DID an hour of exercise! Other positives about today:

I was able to relax and enjoy a day with my family.
DD finished her school work and her test today, so she can have the weekend off.
I worked with our 5 yr old DD on her words, numbers, letters, etc.
I still made homemade pizza with wheat crust
I caught up on all the laundry!

Well, now I feel even better about my day! Have a great weekend!

    Don't beat yourself up. You did an hour of cardio. Yesterday I didn't even do any cardio and then today I did 95 minutes of cardio with walking on the treadmill, and 45 minutes of swimming. emoticon emoticon
