Week 4, Day 5

I weighed myself today. I know I shouldn't have and that I really, really need to get rid of the scale but I haven't been able to bring myself to do that yet. My weight was still exactly the same. I know that's not really a bad thing but it makes me kind of mad, so it's time to remind myself of my other healthy indicators and I think I'm going to change my ticker to miles or exercise minutes.

Health Positives:

1.) I'm sitting here in a pair of jeans that are a size smaller and too big on me.
2.) I can do a few push-ups now
3.) I can feel and muscles in different parts of my body
4.) The elliptical feels great even on the hardest setting. I can do it for a full hour, work up a good sweat, and feel great afterwards.
5.) I've consistently exercised for at least an hour a day for the last 30 days.
6.) I finally added strength training
7.) I can keep up with my kids, the house, exercise and good meals. (Thanks to having more energy and slowly making things habit.)

Those are all I can think of right now but I know there are more.


Week 4, Day 4

My favorite machine, the elliptical, is not working. It has a part that needs to be welded. My husband is going to take care of it for me.
It didn't stop me from working out today, even though I really look forward to that crazy machine for some reason!
I did an hour on the Gazelle and an hour on the bike and the day 4 video!

Tomorrow, I need to concentrate on the house and I still plan on getting in at least an hour of cardio.

I had planned a good stew for tonight. Then a friend brought over some wonderful enchiladas which I couldn't pass up, so we're moving the stew to tomorrow.

And I joined a new team today it's a motivator for reaching 2012 miles in 2012. I started tracking my miles and realized that I'm already on track to do just that! Hopefully, that team, along with my others can help keep me motivated throughout the year.

If things work out with all of our plans, then we should be be doing well in both health and finances by this time next year! I can't wait to see what happens!



Week 4, Day 3

It has been a great day! I'm actually kind of sad that the January Jumpstart challenge is almost over. I bookmarked the main page though so that I can continue the exercises through February.
Today, I did the Day 3 video twice and did 2 hours on the stationary bike! I didn't eat as well as I should have today, but I already have our plan for tomorrow!

Goals for tomorrow:

Add strawberries to breakfast
Spinach salad Lunch
Stew for dinner
Kids School
1-2 hours of Cardio
Day 4 Video



Rest Day

We were gone until 11pm tonight, so I didn't get any exercise in today, but I had planned that so today is my rest day. Tomorrow, I'll be back to cardio and strength training and our normal busy day!

I managed a bit more than 1 hour of steps today!

30 minutes Free Step
90 Minutes Stationary bike

Tomorrow we're going out of town, so I will try to do what I can tomorrow evening. If I do not get any exercise tomorrow that will be okay also. It will be my day of rest.
