2nd Week Success!

Today was week 2, day 7! I forgot how hard Day 7 is on my abs! I love this program so far! I think I'd like to stick to the January Jumpstart plan through February as well.
I'm finally getting my cardio back on track. I managed 30 minutes on the Elliptical and 30 minutes on the stationary bike!

    Great job! I failed the January Jumpstart from the very beginning, but I've heard rave reviews about the videos. I'll have to check them out.

Week 2, Day 6

I was dragging a bit today. I did the day 6 video once and then the first half of it again. After that we were really busy.
On a positive note, I got an elliptical today!

We're not going out of town this weekend, so I'm going to use today as my cardio rest day for the week.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try 30 minutes on the elliptical and 1 hour of steps before the Day 7 video. If I remember right the Day 7 video really wiped me out last week. I'm hoping I'll be a little better at it this time.

Week 2, Day 5

I'm using my blog to help keep track of which exercise day I'm on for the January Jumpstart Challenge. Today is day 5 of week 2. I did the video yesterday and planned on logging back in for the blog and points after dinner.

I ended up falling asleep at 6:30!! My husband woke me up at 7:30 to say prayers with the kids and get them in bed. I ended up laying in bed with them for a little while. They were all asleep by 8pm!! Normally, we lay them down at 8 and someone is usually still awake at 10, but not last night. I think we were all exhausted. It worked out well for this morning, though. We all woke up early and we're getting a good start on our day.

Goals for today:

Day 5 Video
1 hour of steps
Laundry from this weekend
Kids' school
Straighten House

Week 2, Day 3

Today was Day 3 of Week 2 of the January Jumpstart Challenge.

Even going out of town, I was able to do some exercise today. I did the January Jumpstart video TWICE today! Then I found a step, set a timer and did 30 minutes of steps. The step was a few inches higher than normal and I could really feel it! I need to order the riser for my step at home.

We went to a pizza party today and I made sure that I ate a huge salad before I even considered any pizza.

Overall, considering that we're out of town, it was a very good day!

Still Sore from Day 7!

I managed to do Day 1 of Week 2 in the January Jumpstart Challenge today and even talked myself into 30 minutes on the stationary bike but I could not do any more cardio today.

I spun 25 points on the wheel today and felt like I should not waste those extra points. I so wanted to get in more cardio and, therefore, more points but I just could not do it. (I know the points don't really mean anything but they are a GREAT motivator for me!)

I wish we could get points for doing something really relaxing on our rest days. Those points call to me when I'm supposed to not be exercising. It would be cool to get points that day for taking a long, hot soak in the bath! emoticon

That's what I'm going to do now in anticipation of waking up early, eating better and reaching for 2 hours of cardio tomorrow!!

(I'll be travelling this weekend so I'm counting Saturday as my cardio day off.)
