Happy Halloween!

Monday, October 31, 2011

I only ate 2 fun sized packages of Halloween candy today!

Everyone enjoyed trick or treating!

We had a great dinner and the kids loved it! Expresso Encusted Steak and baked Potatoes

I did an hour of interval training on the bike and 30 minutes of free step.

I finally started decorating the living room and making it feel more comfy!

Quick Entry today

Monday, October 31, 2011

I did 2 hours of Wii Fit Free Steps today. I wanted to get my exercise in but was not sure I would be able to handle the bike today. Tomorrow I'll be back on the bike! I didn't eat as well today as normal, but I took a nap with the kiddos and didn't go over my calories!

My Birthday!

Saturday, October 29, 2011

Today is my birthday!! It's been a great day! My mom came up and watched the kids last night, while my husband and I went out of town. We met up with some friends and went out to a Japanese steakhouse, had some great food and drinks, went shopping, and went to a movie! Today we went to visit my grandma. She is the one who had a stroke in August. She is doing wonderfully now! She is in an apartment that she seems to really like so far and you would never know that she's had a stroke! After our visit, my husband and I went grocery shopping. It might sound kind of stange but it's nice to do that together every now and then without kids. We followed our list and stuck to the budget. Then, instead of getting a Whataburger and fries for the trip home, we ate sushi rolls!

Busy, Good Day

Friday, October 28, 2011

I was kind of surprised tonight when I logged in to SP and realized that I hadn't logged in all day! I was certain that I had already tracked part of my food and read the articles that I usually read in the morning, but I hadn't. It was very strange, but we had a good busy day. My mom came in to town, so my DH watched the kids while we went out to lunch at a little Italian place that was wonderful! I had a vegetable pita and LOVED it!
She left after lunch to go visit her mom, my grandmother, who is still recovering from her stroke. My mom had my nephew with her so he is here with us again while she visits. I had to remind myself to check his diaper. I've been so excited about my youngest being out of diapers that I found it strange to have one in the house who is still in diapers.
Basically, the day was busy and good. I did my two hours of cardio in the afternoon and stayed low on my calories even though I went out at lunch. It was a great day and I'm exhausted.
We made another SP recipe today that I had downloaded from SP - Delicious Dinners on a Dime No-Fuss Family Meals that Feed Four for Less than $10. It was Taco Soup and it was really good!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow but I'll save that for tomorrow's blog!

Yesterday, Today and Homemade Bagels

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Yesterday I was so tired that I didn't write my blog, post any messages or even log back into my computer! I just passed out. I went to bed and fell asleep hard. I was still so out of it this morning that I didn't get up until 45 minutes after the alarm went off! I got a lot of stuff done yesterday though.

Today I've got to think through what I'm doing again.

1) 2 hours of Cardio
2) Read friends paper again
3) Laundry
4) Quick clean bathrooms
5) Vacuum bedrooms
6) Make dinner
and
7) Attempt tp make bagels! This one should be pretty interesting. This is one of those things that I never even considered making. I assumed making bagels was some elaborate process that could only be done by great and mighty machines! Machines that only decided to share with humanity their wonderful bagels as a sign of their awesomeness! [hehehe] Okay, maybe I didn't quite think about them like that. I just didn't really think about them at all. My family loves them and I buy them.
After we ran out yesterday, my husband suggested I try to make them. I just stared blankly at him and said, "You can make those?" He had a good laugh about that because I like to make all kinds of things. "Did you think they just appeared at the store?" [And that explains the great and might machines thought process.]
I looked them up in my regular old cookbook and there they were. They seem simple enough. We'll see what happens.
