Thinking Positive

I'm trying to only think about the positive things that happened today. I'm hoping that positive leads to positive actions! First, I went to bed early last night! emoticon That's one of the things I work toward every night. The reasons that I can't always go to bed early are part of the negatives that I'm trying not to dwell on. Second, I had a healthy breakfast and was able to get started on the house right away. Third, I was able to get in two hours of cardio today!! emoticon emoticon I had my salad for lunch, even though my brain was telling me peanut butter waffles. Fourth, I was able to take the kids to a parade and still have a healthy dinner because we already had it planned out. I almost had dinner ready to eat before the parade. We were able to eat as soon as we came home. Then the kids were bathed and put to bed. Everything seems to be following a good schedule again tonight! [Fingers crossed] Hopefully tomorrow will be even better!


Woohoo! 2 hours of Cardio!

I still landed within my calorie range but I learned a lesson today. I cannot go to McDonald's hungry - no matter what. I knew we would be going to McDonald's today, as a treat for my kids (and good reading time for me, while they play on the playground). I had planned ahead and already entered the fruit and walnut salad in my tracker. I LIKE their fruit and walnut salad. But, I didn't have a healthy snack today and I was very hungry by the time we got there, so my resolve flew right out the window! Ugh! But I'm happy that I stayed within range and I was able to get in 2 hours of cardio today!

I'll go drink a v8 now to make up for not getting the salad and I'm looking forward to another 2 hours of cardio tomorrow! Once I get to Zumba classes and Yoga in the evenings again, I'll be able to start dedicating some of this time to strength training, which I'm really looking forward to. (That is not something I ever thought I'd say!)

It's a good morning for me! Hopefully, we pushed through all of the bad stuff this weekend and we're back on a good track today.
My grandma should be in a regular room at the hospital this morning, which is a good thing.
I'm on my second day (of that thing that girls aren't supposed to talk about for some reason even though it's perfectly natural and happens every month!) That's much, much better than the first day!
I've already tracked my food for the day and have our dinners planned out until the 15th!
I'm ready to get things done!

My grandma is being moved out of ICU today and seems to be doing better. I'll find out more tomorrow. I went over on calories, but did track everything. I fell asleep for 3 hours this afternoon!! Tomorrow I will enter all of my food in the tracker first thing in the morning and work towards my 2 hours of cardio.
If the weather holds cool, I want to take the kids for a long walk tomorrow afternoon.
I have a lot of housework to catch up on, but I'll be able to get to it 15 minutes at a time.

Between sparkpeople and flylady.com, I'm slowly becoming healthy and organized!



Ready for Schedules Again

My grandmother is still in the hospital. Everything is still very erratic around here. I didn't get any exercise today but I did much better at eating healthier during our travels and tried to walk quite a bit.
My grandmother is looking much better so I'm hoping she'll pull through and they'll be able to release her this week. Everyone else has to go home tomorrow, so hopefully I can get in a couple of hours of exercise!
