200 in reach.

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Starting to believe that 200 is a reachable goal. Weight today is 204. Almost time to change my goal to my last goal. Will be shooting for the weight the army said I should weigh, 183-187. 204 put me at the same weight as in 1991. 195 would put me a my basic training weight back in December 1984. 188 would put me at my lowest Adult weight in September 1984. All I hear everyday is you can't do that. Or you shouldn't do that. To me this is like waving a red flag in front of a bull. But I thought, well maybe I had better check with my doctor and make sure this is not unhealthy. So on my visit Monday he said I still could loose a few pounds. Thought that 185 was not unreasonable. Also said my body would start to let me know when I was close. Also said I was doing great and my heart sounded great. This my have been the best news I could have had. The only bad news is I've lost so much insulation and with the weather change. I'm always cold!!!
O'well can't have everything. So I'll say it again. I love this site!!!

SEE I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON WHY I AM COLD ALL THE TIME AND HUBBY SAYS NO ITS NOT COLD IN THE HOUSE, I JUST DON'T HAVE ANY RF-FACTOR LEFT:) I STILL AM VERY PROUD OF YOU FOR TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE AND LIVING THE LIFE YOU DESERVE. I AM GLAD YOU CHECKED WITH YOUR DOCTOR SO THAT GIVES YOU PIECE OF MIND, WHICH IS IMPORTANT, TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN GOOD HEALTH AND NOT PUSHING PAST WHERE YOUR BODY SHOULD BE. I THINK I HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY BUT TO STUBBORN TO GIVE UP SO THAT LITTLE RUNNER WILL HAVE TO RUN A WHILE LONGER UNTIL EITHER SHE GETS ACROSS THE FINISH LINE OR JUST KEEPS RUNNING. I THINK EVERY ONE SHOULD HAVE A GOAL. I AM GOAL DRIVEN AS YOU ARE. LIKE YOUR DOCTOR SAID YOUR BODY WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOUR DONE. YOUR GARDEN FRIEND. SANDY

Do your taste buds really change?

Monday, October 13, 2008

With out a question the answer to that, is YES!!!! I'm one of those kids who hated all hot cereals. If I even tried to eat them I got sick. So after reading an article on how your tastes changes over time, I tried some Oatmeal this morning. I'm telling you this was hard for me. I still remember my parents trying to force me to eat this when I was young. Even now at almost 47 I still remember how sick even the small made me. But with an open mind I tried some this morning. I think I even liked it. I would say there are two good lessons here. First, do not force your kids to eat anything. The potential harm out weights any good. Number 2 is that your tastes in foods do change. So try some of the foods you hated as kids. Have a great week.

I KNOW MINE HAVE CHANGED. I CAN'T EVEN STAND THE SMELL OF SOME FOODS ANYMORE LITTLE LONE EVEN BRINGING MYSELF TO TASTE THEM. I GET THAT SAME FEELING YOU USED TO GET WHEN YOU WERE A KID IF I EVEN SMELL FAST FOOD COOKING, LIKE WHEN YOU DRIVE BY A BURGER PLACE AND THE SMELL IS HANGING IN THE AIR, YUK. I AM THE SAME WAY WITH THE SMELL OF SMOKE, MAKES ME SO SICK TO MY STOMACH I HAVE TO LEAVE THE AREA WHERE SOMEONE HAD SMOKED A CIGARETTE. THIS COMING FROM A PERSON WHO CHAINED SMOKED FOR THIRTY YEARS. I AM GLAD YOU BROUGHT THIS SUBJECT UP AS IT IS A VERY TRUE AND REAL EXPERIENCE. SANDY

Feeling better

Monday, October 06, 2008

Well the weight bounce cometh and than goth. Weight drop today. Mostly water, going all day long. Felt much better all day. Workout went well. Weird thing is, I ate a lot more yesterday than normal. Also slept a lot yesterday. Maybe I was just tired. What ever I feel better today and still going strong.

The bounce is back.

Saturday, October 04, 2008

Another bounce in weight. I knew it was coming and could not stop it, although I tried. Started Thursday when I noticed as was not going to the restroom as much. So I knew I was retaining water. 5 pounds in 2 days. Back to 215 again. Help knowing when it happening. but still don't know why?. This seams to happen about every 3 or 4 weeks. Also while this is happening my energy level and strength level are very low. I feel like my brain and body are having a war to see who is stronger. So I promise myself not to get down, and just stay focused on eating right until it all works out again.

you are not alone. I can do that to. One day I weigh this, the next day its 2-3 lbs more!! But I have learned to go with the flow. Its hard though. Especially when you want that scale to go down. And for me, it can kind of be confusing. Because I want to know if the number Im seeing on the scale is accurate or not. hang in there!!

GOOD, STAY POSITIVE. YOU KNOW FROM THE PAST THAT THIS IS JUST NORMAL AND IT WILL BE OVER SOON. HAVE YOU TRACKED AND CHECKED BACK TO SEE IF SOMETHING YOU HAVE ONLY EATEN ONCE IN A WHILE COULD BE THE CULPRIT? I KNOW CERTAIN FOODS I EAT I CAN GAIN TWO POUNDS OVERNIGHT WITH WATER RETENTION, AND HAVE LEARNED TO AVOID THOSE FOODS.
