30 day walk challenge week one

Monday, September 30, 2013

I love Leslie Sansone, and she is having a 30 day walk challenge starting tomorrow. Here is the link if anyone wants to join me.

She says you don't have to do it to her DVD's you can use a treadmill, or walk outside. Seeing as I have over 20 of her DVD's and the weather is turning icky, I'm choosing to do the DVD's

Here is Week 1

Oct 1 - 2 mile walk

Oct 2 - I mile in the morning + one mile in the evening plus strength training for the Core

Oct 3 - 2 mile walk

Oct 4 - 1 mile in morning + 1 mile in evening + strength training for Upper Body

Oct 5 - 2 mile walk

Oct 6 - 1 mile in morning + 1 mile in the evening + strength training for the Lower Body.

Hopefully the Challenge bumps up the miles in the next week, as 2 miles is pretty easy for me. I'll be doing this in addition to TKD 2x's a week.

Don't forget to log your steps emoticon

BLC 23

Thursday, September 26, 2013

Another round of BLC has started, and I am again with the fabulous Steely Sapphire Soldiers. One part of our first challenge is to write a blog on some fears or obstacles I need to overcome on this journey.

My one big one is food. I start out so good, but if I eat something I know I shouldn't like icecream, I stop tracking. I'm afraid to go over my calories. lol The opposite happens when I do track...I'm so worried, that I hardly even get to 1200 cal, never mind the 1500 or so Im supposed to be consuming.

To overcome this I'm going to toss my perfectionism out the window...It's ok, if I go over my cals once in a while....it's more important to track my food so I know exactly where I can tweak my diet.

Here's to another successful round of BLC emoticon

Running Is Dangerous to my Health....

Friday, June 14, 2013

when I have to run past these little buggers!

When I go on my run, I do this loop twice, so I have to go past them twice. I have tried walking quietly past them, I've tried running quickly past them. Oh, I've also crossed onto the grass which is not pretty, as it's loaded with geese goodness. It never fails, I get chased and hissed at every time.

They may be "Canadian" geese, but there isn't a spec of Canadian friendliness to them. I guess you can't blame them, they are just trying to protect these little guys.

I think next time, I'll bring some bread crumbs. emoticon

My hubby insists that I take my pepper spray with me on every run... I keep telling him the only thing I'll ever need to use it on are the silly geese!!

They are worst than rabbid dogs :)

They are so cute though. I love birds. We have them here too and we have more than once used our car to block traffic so a mom and her babies could get safely across the road.
