A pat on the back for moving through the week with less than perfect health. Am feeling good, managing to eat right & no guilt when I splurged tonight with 2 oz of Kettle Salt and Vinegar chips. I like the tips from the message boards and hope to use more recipes next week. I never thought that I would be buying Almond Butter - does that mean that I'll start eating mayonnaise soon?!

Feeling Better

Sure glad that the acid indigestion or whatever has moved on. Difficult yesterday, hard to even drink water and I am not surprised that my calorie intake was too low. It is good that I am getting the hang of using Spark. I am certainly committed to the workout program (altho part of that is paying for a gym means using a gym to me).

  


Week 1 Weigh In

I weighed myself today for the first time since starting SP. The scale has not moved. I changed the battery. The scale remained the same. I changed the battery a second time. No change. Rather than brood all day, I made more careful measurements of what I was consuming and made sure that I was drinking plenty of water. I like the menu choices but haven't figured out why I can't just list what I eat rather than changing every meal every day. I never eat mayonnaise (yuck) so that choice is always something that I have to change. I also have more than one cup of real coffee and more than one cup of herb tea each day - where do these items get recorded?

  


Garden Time

Today I wanted to get some garden things done, but ended up recovering the patio bar stools. I used some cool material, blue and white stripes, almost a canvas but slicker, hopefully sun proof, and was able to do all 4 stools in an afternoon. A staple is a wonderful fastener! Once it started raining, I saw that I had made the right choice for an afternoon project.

Spark Recipe - umm umm good!

I made a Spark Recipe (Chef Meg's Simple Quinoa and Vegetables tonight. Loved it! Easy to put together, paired with salmon and a small glass of chardonnay. I am not passionate about cooking at all and really could eat a bean and cheese burrito every evening. I feel good, anxious to lose some weight, having a hard time not weighing til Monday. Am blessed with good health, no meds, and aside from my bad knee (skiing accident when I was young and daring!) I am thankful for my good health. I think that this Spark stuff will help me curb my large appetite and help me make good choices.
