Taking an involuntary moment

Sudden back injury has instilled this fear in me to work out again. Itís going to take some work to get back to a level I was at before the injury not to mention careful research for proper exercise to do. The good news, I have been able to maintain a three pound weight loss since the injury with virtually stagnant movement. I'm sure continued weight loss will aid with the recovery I just have to be patient.

After a few weeks of consistently exercising, I am ready to shift a little of my focus towards my caloric intake in effort to create this magical unison of "diet" and exercise. I am surprisingly pleased with my lack of obsession at that task and maybe this is what I need for long term success. Consistency is key and I will take it one week at a time rather than focusing on the "end date" of my goal.

It felt so great to roll in the driveway Saturday morning, throw my hands in the air and be able to tell my husband I accomplished the run I set out to do. That moment was much more satisfying than a bite of chocolate. It really was!

I'm seeing that I am becoming a little more and more complacent as the time goes by. That's not good AT ALL! But, at least I recognize that this is happening. So what's my plan of attack going forward? Hmmm... I'm going to have to go back to my old ways of planning my menu and workout routine. I have so much going on this summer that NOW is the time to prepare so I'm ready to shop for new outfits for these events. I hated my wardrobe last summer! This is the time to focus and start planning.

    Absolutely, recognize and now - TAKE ACTION - Tracking, planning and all those tools are so important. Buy an outfit now, and hang it on your closet door as a daily reminder that you plan to FIT in it this summer. Good Luck

Only Six to Goal #1!

Wow! I just realized that I only have 6 pounds to loose until I achieve Goal #1 of 155 pounds. That's not bad at all. I will focus on 6 rather than my ultimate 26. At least its going in the right direction despite the slow pace. I'll take it and make it.

Feeling sluggish and disconnected lately

Not sure what it is lately, but it almost seems like I'm a little disconnected from my surroundings. I can't seem to find the right words in conversations and I just want to sleep all the time. Perhpas its related to the lack of excecise and falling off the wagon (just a little) in my food choices. Oh who am I kidding, I fell off big LOL. This week, I will take my multivitamin and excersice and revisit next week to see if I'm feeling any better. I hope its that easy and I NEED to get out of this rut that I seem to be stuck in for the past two weeks or so.

    YES! I think I'm ready to get out of my rut now LOL Not sure what it was in June but boy was it unusual to feel so down. It feels good to see the light again. Now time to reconnect and refocus.
