OK.. I got my nook in today.. it was back ordered when hubby went to get it for my christmas gift. I'm sooo excited. I can't wait for it to charge so I can play around with it. I stopped buying books to read when I found out he got me one so now I have a list of books I want to download.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but I can't seem to eat enough calories everyday. I always end up with toooo many carbs and not enough protein. I eat more than 6 servings of fruits and veggies EVERYDAY. I think yesterday was the first day that I actually met my protein goal.
I'm not hitting my calorie count, but I am NOT hungry. I work on my feet, moving around all day and don't really think about eating (yeah, weird for someone who works in a restaurant, huh?)
I got home tonight (about 8pm) and had a salad (with 1/2 green pepper, 1 whole tomato, carrots, onions and a cucumber) and a bowl of soup.. I am soooo stuffed, there is no way I can add another 300 calories. I am done for the day (other than the rest of my water!)
Suggestion are VERY welcome.

I started the bedroom yesterday and have a goal of Feb 1st to complete it (dresser and all) -- but, much to my surprise, I have come to the conclusion that I need a new bedroom set. The bottom of my drawers are falling out and the handles to mine and hubbies have disappeared eons ago.... what a BUMMER.
So, we've decided to start looking for a new set. Wahooo! I am excited! We have had this set since we got married way baaaaaaaaaaaaaack in 1987. I guess we got our money's worth out of it, wouldn't you say?

I was not happy today. I had this all day meeting and I ended up eating things I would not have normally eaten. I did limit myself to salad (no dressing) carrots, green beans and less than 1/2 cup of ziti and sauce. I completely skipped the desserts and bread -- I figured I'd blown it already. Although after entering my food in the food tracker... I find I can still afford to have dinner! What a treat. But I just feel like I did badly since I did not stick to my routine -- I guess I just need to keep portion control in check. I feel like I blew it and don't know why.
So, I came home from my meeting and did my 30 minute cardio dvd (ball and band). Yes, I am still on level one and I was sweating when I was done... But it felt good.

ok.. so i got up, had my coffee, roamed around sp for a while and hit the ball & band fitness video. i had some trouble with a few of the exercises. it seems i was not sitting high enough on the ball to kick my legs out - legs were bent too much. which is strange because i have the ball that is good for my height. this lasted, oh, i'd say, about 30-40 minutes. one of the exercises i could not do because of the ball size - so - i resolved that problem by heading over to my local dick's sporting goods and getting the next size up. i will not have that problem the next time.
i'll tell you this. i was rather wobbly for a while afterwards. my legs felt kinda like jello! this happened before when i was in physical therapy for my back. i loved pt, i always felt great after leaving. it was mentally AND physically therapeutic for me. i found that a lot of the exercises i had to do there are on my video!
well, just took the dog out, loaded dish washer, and had a yummy salad for a late lunch. now i am off to hit the bedroom cleaning spree. i'll let you all know of my progress later..

I drank too much water today (is that even possible?) I think it stopped me from eating the calories I needed. Not good. Under 1000 for the day and I am stuffed (this said as I am sitting here with, you guessed it, a bottle of water). But, what I did eat was fruits and veggies and chicken and yogurt. All good stuff!
I am off of work tomorrow.. the plan is to START cleaning the bedroom and office up, and EXERCISE! I have skipped the exercise today and blew my streak (but didn't get much sleep last night.. hubby was away) and I'm tired... better to be fresh in the morning for an activity filled day. Planning on using an exercise ball and band that I bought years ago.. and pop in the video that came with it.. and OFF I GO!
